Le Petit Palu-Opera

I had advised to the WhatsApp that my arrival was going to be from 23h on and they told me that I had just to follow the instructions of an e.mail they would send in advance with the number of my bedroom and the password/pin to enter the building/hotel&bedroom. When I arrived, I put the password around 50 times but I could not even enter the building. It was 00.00 and no body answered my WhatsApp, so I had to look for another hotel to stay that night. HORRIBLE. I do not recommend this place.

Would not call this a real hotel. There are rooms, but no other facilities. The reception is not occupied at all times, and you use a code sent by email to enter. We found no signs outside the building, and did not find the place at first. Our de luxe room faced a ventilation shaft, so no views. AC did not work, and it was hot in the night! However the room was clean and the bed nice, so it served our purpose during this visit, but I don't think we will come back.

Well presented room in a converted town house located in the heart of Madrid. Excellent base for exploring the city. Careful attention had been given to security, which was reassuring. Helpful and professional staff were on site during office hours. The surrounding area was lively and so a little noisy at night.

Although on the outside it looks like a nice, well-maintained property, don't be fooled. My room had no heat, and in the one of the coldest night in Madrid, it is not a pleasant experience when you have to sleep with your clothes on. The staff's problem solving skills are "ignore and it will go away".

Overall, the stay was great. Location is excellent and close to metro. The receptionist was great, with a big colgate white smile. ;) Room was very clean. Communication was great (mail/whatsapp). We recommend this place.

Doesnt have front desk service 24 hrs. Practically doesnt have at all

We have been waiting for one hour in front of the reception because no one was there. We had to call many times to have someone on the phone unable to speak any other language than spanish. At the end of our trip we received a message from the reception telling us that we have been reported to the police has we havent paid, which is untrue.
