Oriente Palace Apartments

There is absolutely no doubt that the Oriente Palace Apartments are really well located for getting around Madrid. The Palace is right in front of you, the Metro just around the corner, shopping streets very nearby and there is easy access to the Mercado de San Miguel (an eating and drinking experience not to be missed). The apartments are very attractive and elegantly furnished. Rooms are big but the old varnished wooden floors are squeaky. The shower room and toilet are adequate, good supply of hot water. Wifi worked very well. On the downside, bath towels could have been bigger, we only had one mirror and that was above the wash hand basin and there is excessive noise outside during the night. Bins and beer barrels get serviced during the night with clattering and beeping from reversing vehicles creating a less than appreciated noise. On the final night of our four night stay we also had noisy neighbours between 1.00am and 2.00am playing loud music and probably watching a film at high levels of sound. The soundproofing in the building is not good. It’s a shame that there are negatives associated with this accommodation. We were extremely well checked in by William but I think we might look elsewhere when we return to Madrid again.

Beautifully equipped charming apartment directly across from Royal Palace and around corner from Opera House - walkable area to all parts - lovely places to eat tapas as well!

Just back after a lovely stay at Oriente Palace Apartments. Upon arrival we were greeted by the lovely receptionist, who was so friendly, helpful and spoke very good English. We were then shown up to our apartment, which was even more beautiful than I expected. We stayed in double room (with two single beds) ,which were very comfortable! The view from the room really topped it all off too (stunning view of the palace) The room was lovely & spacious with decent size kitchen & big fridge The apartment was in such a good location and only short walking distance to many attractions,cafes & restaurants etc.. We didn't have any problem with noise at night time, found it very peaceful and quiet. When we were leaving we got a taxi from the apartment to the airport which we booked through another receptionist who was also so friendly and helpful. Would really recommend staying here and hope to come back again sometime.

What an beautiful experience. Nehailia at the reception desk was just the best. She spoke perfect English, extremely helpful, had the best recommendations and an absolute bundle of energy. You can’t absolutely ask for a better location. Most hotels and suggestions are the stay in Gran Via. But this hotel is located in the gardens of the Palace grounds. Literally 2 minutes from the Palace gates, 5 minutes walk to the Mercado and 10 minute walk to Gran Via, Plaza Mayor and Puerta Del Sol. The ONLY suggestion would be to add a full length mirror in the rooms. The rooms are huge for European hotels.

This is a lovely historical building with comfortable rooms with period decor. We stayed here for 2 nights during the Easter weekend and whilst it was in a convenient location, it was very noisy at night due to being so close to the Easter festivities and the park across the road. I would suggest requesting a room away from the public dumpsters on the street, as the noise is constant. Mikayla at the front desk was extremely welcoming and helpful with directions, tour bookings and information. She even arranged for us to get accommodation in their adjoining accommodation as we required an extra 2 nights before returning to Barcelona. Whilst the room was beautiful, it had some drawbacks, such as the noise, the small bathroom with inconsistent hot water, and as lovely as the timber flooring is, it squeaks. You can see the Palace from your room and there are many historical sites to see within walking distance. The main shopping ***** and plazas are just a short walk and are filled to the brim with cafes, restaurants, bars and other conveniences.

I spent two nights here with my sister. The value of the property and what you get is hard to beat. The room was HUGE, very clean & comfortable. The building is historic and directly across from the Palace and many parks. Everything I wanted to do was walking distance. The staff was so friendly & helpful. Many cute cafes to dine at nearby as well. I would recommend it highly & stay here in the future.

I just came back from Madrid, had a great week staying with oriente place apartment. I visit Madrid a few times each year for a week length break, always stay in a hotel in puerta del Sol area. I thought maybe I will see Madrid from a different angle if I change location. The oriente palace apartment was a great find, the location is super, the apartment is super (big, bright, spacious with a full equipped kitchen) It's a great sized apartment for a week stay. The apartment is kept very cleaned. it's a converted historical/old building, the original beams in the apartment is a beautiful feature, it's much appreciated that they keep the old glory of the building. The Royal palace is just right opposite the apartment, (a plaza in-between) , few minutes walk to plaza mayor, el rastro etc. The most appreciated of the staying is the front desk staff, Philippe , Michaela and all. They are friendly, helpful and efficient. The hospitality made the whole experience even more wonderful. Thank you

Step into a world of convenience, charm and outstanding customer service. If you appreciate a boutique hotel where you can rest comfortably and feel like an escape Oriente Palace delivers. Walk to the Teatro Real-opera house for a tour, wander the rooms of the Royal Palace, and dine at a variety of good restaurants within walking distance. Besides the character and exceptional location, your registration desk hosts are an added bonus. Irina, Michela and the gentleman working the night shift are 5 star service. For an English speaking guest, I received excellent assistance and they went out of their way to make the visit fabulous. The staff are the Crown Jewels in this historic accommodation.

Loved this little palace opposite the big royal one. Brilliant service, great room and perfect location. Thanks to Mikhaela for making this a great stay - it would be hard to find a better place and value in Madrid, a simply magnificent city!
