No porters. Two separate lifts to get to the second floor. I booked a deluxe room and the first room I was given was in the attic with windows the size of the slits used to fire arrows out of in castles. After a serious complaint I was given a proper room however the air conditioner did not work. When I queried this the receptionist said the whole second floor was without air-conditioning this would have been fine if the outside temperature had not been the 34 degrees it was during our stay on top of this the room was west facing so the temperature inside the room was well into the 30's most of the time. The secure parking is €16 per day and the swimming pool an extra €6 per person per day. The restaurant was full of flies at breakfast time and front door did not work on the day we left so everyone had to use a side door.

Great location, easy access to tram line into town, lovely walking trails along the river, delicious food, helpful and attentive staff

Pleasant hotel, art-deco style, surrounded by a beautiful garden. Very friendly personnel. Good restaurant. Spacious room with needed facilities. Bathtub was a plus when travelling with a child. Bed was quite big but not very big as marked. Breakfast was good, quite diverse, but not exceptional- 21 euros is a lot to pay for it.

Stayed one night on transit. Used to Dorint's usually high standard, this hotel was a disappointment. The room was spacious but worn, the beds not very comfortable. The level of service not at the level that befits the Dorint chain. The hotel is pompous and beautifully located in a park, but in need of a facelift.

I had booked a 2 adults and a child "8yrs" room. The room I got was barely enough for one person and I had to sleep on the floor. They didn't not provide extra bed for my child or a bigger bed. They said everything was booked. I would have been better off sleeping in my car.

We had a truly delightful stay at the Dorint Herrenkrug Parkhotel in Magdeburg. We had requested an extra bed for our child via email, and we were pleasantly surprised to find it already set up upon our arrival.
The hotel is situated just a stone's throw away from the Elbauenpark. It was a fantastic place for family activities. We especially loved the hands-on science museum and the enchanting butterfly house within the park. Moreover, it's an excellent spot for a picnic with plenty of room to relax without feeling crowded.
Our room was spacious, spotlessly clean, and boasted a beautiful view overlooking the park. We appreciated the thoughtful touches like the robes provided for use in the swimming pool.
