Sunny Suites

The reason we booked these apartments was easy jet stated they were a few meters from the beach. In fact they were a few meters from a very busy noisy road that you had to cross then approx 400mters walk to the beach The room we had was accessed by a sliding door. It transpired even when locked this could be opened with a sharp tug. Somebody walked into our room as we were sleeping and stole all the cash from my wallet. Initially the manager said he had checked CTV and no one had entered our room . I went to the local police station and was told i had to return with the manager and camera footage. The next morning the manager said he had found footage of some one entering our room and also the room below (which luckily was empty) and took us to the police station We moved room to one with a wooden door and felt much safer The whole episode ruined our holiday

Having visited Platanius last May and then Malame May 22nd this year for one week ,wish it had been two. Could not fault Sunny suites and all of their staff, especially George who is the most pleasant and helpful person I’ve come across, nothing was a problem., well situated for all amenities locally and bus stops for where ever you want to go. So if you want a quite relaxing holiday please don’t hesitate to give Sunny suites a try.

Came back to SS for our wedding anniversary. Flew from Cyprus. Manos always shows Great hospitality. SS is newly refurbished, spacious accommodation Great location. Quiet and relaxing about 45 mins from airport on the village of Maleme

Very nice, had everything we needed, all staff friendly, full size fridge, comfy beds (come with a free hotel cat if not careful), large balcony,only downside was we were at the front so although we had a sea view we had zero sun on the balcony. Maleme itself is a little soulless but a bus either way are easy to get, if going to Chania go early as by mid afternoon even in October if became very busy both in the new & old town, the latter being overpriced and very limited in different shops, near enough the same 6/7 shops on rotation. The hotel is a 15 min walk up the hill behind to the German war crematory which was a very sobering visit, the wording in the museum suggested some graves were war criminal graves hence no monument as such. 15 mins to the left of the hotel is the RAF monument which we also visited, it was nice to see both sites are looked after.

Lovely atmosphere, great pool, quiet and family run. Room spacious with fab shower. Fridge, cooking ring and toaster. Comfy beds. We had a living room with TV. Small balcony area by pool. Room cleaned every other day. Sister hotel served fantastic food and massive portions. My sister and I loved it here and would come again. Bus stop not far from the hotel and beach close by.

I had been looking at these apartments for sometime, we love Mikes over the road but Tui's prices had increased and there was little availability for our dates. Travelling with a friend I wanted a one bed apartment and Sunny Suites via Easy Jet holidays, offered the right accommodation at the right price. We arrived late and there was a note on the door offering us directions to a ground floor apartment. The next morning we were offered another apartment on the top floor and we changed due to the outstanding views from the balcony. The apartment was just lovely, air con in both the lounge and the bedroom together with a TV in each room. Well appointed kitchenette and daily cleaning service. The bathroom was modern but being on the upper floor the water pressure was not as strong as I would like. The pool side bar offered a good range of snacks and drinks all at a reasonable price and all the staff, including the manager Manos were engaging and helpful. We enjoyed many an after dinner night cap around the bar with other guests who were mainly British. Please note iron and ironing boards and hair dryers are provided. Close to a range of bars and restaurants and a short walk to the sea these apartments are well placed. The bus stops both the Chania and the other direction just over the road. Our favourite restaurant was Mikes and happy to note that both Sunny Suites and Mikes are owned by members of the same family. Would I return, YES in a heartbeat in fact I am waiting for Easy Jet to release dates for 2024. The beds are very comfortable and they offer beach towel hire for 2euro each time you want to change the towel for a clean one.

This was our 3rd stay at sunny suites and can’t wait to stay again. The apartments, bar and pool kept super clean. Very pretty with lovely trees and plants too. We had lovely sea and pool view being on second floor. The pool is good size, always sun-loungers available and shallow end/small kids pool. Pool is thoroughly cleaned daily (can be fascinating to watch the pool cleaning robot at night 🤣). Apartments are clean modern and roomy. The bathrooms are modern too with good showers. The beds are sooo comfy and pillows so good wanted to take them home. Air-con id a must and is included in price unlike many other apartments. There is air-con units in bedrooms and in the living area. Rooms cleaned daily by lovely cleaning staff and unlike many toilet rolls are provided for whole stay! Pool bar is open til late every day, great selection of reasonably priced drinks and food available (special pizza, toasted special sandwich and omelettes where our favourites) staff super lovely and so accommodating Pedros and ‘little’ Manos especially. Big (not so big any more) the owner is lovely and very knowledgeable. If you want any info or ideas on where to explore he’s the man to talk to😉 You can also use facilities of big sister hotel the imperial too. Plenty of restaurants to eat at in Maleme taverna Peresama is our favourite. There are restaurants on beach front with awesome views a short walk from sunny suites There are a number of small grocery and souvenir shops that open late too (nearest just up main road from sunny suites by atm) There is also a Synka supermarket within walking distance too. There is also a lidl in plantanias if you have a car. I cannot recommend sunnysuites enough, the amount of returning travellers says it all.

Once again Tripadvisor comes up trumps. Sunny Suites comes highly recommended and I can see why. First time at this small, friendly, well appointed apartment block, but likely to return. Pool with inexpensive bar and staff that go the extra mile. Very well maintained and presented apartments. Cleaned daily, with towels frequently changed. Kitchen more than adequately equipped as you will be regularly eating out at some great little restaurants locally. Room safe at no extra cost. Adequate on site parking or bus stop outside with a regular, inexpensive service. It is small, only around 18 apartments I believe, which suites us nicely. It is a short walk to the beach with plenty of cafes and bars. I am genuinely struggling to find any negatives. There is a little road noise so perhaps an apartment towards the rear is best. 306 was perfect, with a wrap around balcony. Spacious lounge and bedroom, with a kitchenette and lovely shower room.

Sunny suites was a perfect location for a family holiday. The apartments were well maintained, clean with an excellent maid service. The beds are very comfortable, good air conditioning, good size balconies, great pool with a smaller childrens pool which was great for our grandaughter. The pool bar/ snack facility was great with all the staff being very friendly and helpful. It is quiet and feels very private but is within walking distance to the beach and local tavernas/ supermarkets etc. it is a great location for exploring the local area and we would definitely visit again.
