check in is a v convenient and the staff r v nice and helpful, room is v comfortable

We were a group of colleagues and partners having a college reunion after more than 50 years since graduation as teachers We had to change the date due to covid-19 effecting some attendees. Given the new date we also had to shorten the stay from 2 to one night at the new date. I was not given a refund for the cancelled dates unlike all the others. The dinner dish of fish and chips that many ordered was awful and my wife found it inedible. She told the wait staff at the time. Workmen commenced work before 8am on level two and the work noise reverberated through the floors above where we were. Totally unacceptable and uncaring for the guests Altogether the stay was unpleasant and I will avoid staying there in future.

Early check in was a breeze!! Arrived here for one night while attending the football. Likes the fact you could walk from Piccadilly station to the hotel in around 5 mins.We came from Belfast on a 6AM flight and was worried about early check in which I had paid £10 for on top of the rate for a family rooms suitable for two adults and two teenagers! Earliest check in was 11AM brought forward from 3PM but On arrival around 8:45 AM the manager made the room available immediately and check in was extremely quick. Such as genuine attempt from the Manager to create a super first impression and accommodate us after travelling at that time of the morning. We checked in and immediately went into the spacious restaurant and had four really substantial breakfasts for only the price for two as breakfast for teenagers under 16 years of age are free. Because of the early check in we were able to have a few hours to relax in the room before a short walk back to the station for a 10 mins 3 stop metro ride to the Etihad. After the match we took a leisurely 30min walk back to the hotel and after another relaxing few hours watching tv in the room and showering etc we availed of the pre paid dinner menu deal purchased before the trip!….Breakfast was pre paid for the next morning but because of the snow and icy conditions we had to pre book a taxi for 6:30 to the airport to be sure of having the time to proceed through security. All in all a very pleasant and hassle free stay in a welcoming atmosphere with spotless adequate rooms complete with comfy spacious beds, a tv and coffee and tea making facility with very presentable shower/bathroom. The Manager in the morning refunded our prepaid breakfasts because the weather forced us to check out earlier than expected before breakfast would have started at 7AM..Such a nice touch and at his discretion! We will definitely be staying in Premier Inn Piccadilly again on future trips to Manchester for football and site seeing as it is in a great location close to all amenities.Somewhere guaranteed to provide a reasonably priced hassle free stay in a very adequate hotel with friendly and supportive staff! Stayed here on NYE and New Year’s Day, the price was over inflated for the occasion but similarly priced to other similar quality hotels. This hotel as the name suggests is near Piccadilly station in central Manchester, very convenient if you are shopping, going out or going to the arena. The hotel itself is very easy to find and has reduced price parking right in front which is £13 for 24hrs which is over half the price of other car parks and the NPC ones. Lobby areas are clean and modern, the hotel offers a self service check in which in my opinion was alright but quite a few people were having to go to the bar to speak to someone or to get help with the check-in which defeats the purpose of self check-in. Also because the screens won’t allow you to any earlier check in than 3pm there was quite a queue to use them and there want many of them available so expect to wait if you arrive at 3pm. Our rooms was a standard premier inn room, if you’ve stayed in one before you should know what your getting, this room was ok, didn’t feel tired like some can feel, it was clean and relatively fresh, our only criticism really was the 2 teabags, 2 coffee’s and 2 sugars in the tea tray with no spoons. (They do have a help yourself supply room downstairs) . We also had to ask for 2 additional pillows (1 each supplied) and extra toilet roll. Breakfast is a help yourself buffet which is extra, didn’t really feel that this particular premier inn’s offering was worth the money, food wasn’t replenished quick enough and those that were there had been standing a while. Other premier inn’s have been better so could have just been an off day. What little interaction we had with staff was pleasant and they genuinely seemed willing to help. If it wasn’t for the reasonable parking and location I would have scored this a 3 star as I don’t think it was worth the price despite being NYE.

It's a great hotel to stay in, with friendly staff, great rooms and really nice area to have a drink in a night.I stayed here a couple of times when I've been to Manchester and it helps that's it close to the train station as well and i would definitely stay here again.
