Entumoto Safari Camp

Thank you all for the most memorabel stay. Everything was amazing. The staff is wonderful its a team effort from every singel staff member to provide sutch good service and also make you feel as a part of the family. The game drives was incridible, seeing the lions hunt was one of my many highlights during our games drives. Thanks to Alec and Betwell for our long drives you love animals as mutch and me. Loved the pool and sauna after game drives. The food, views, tents and the walking safari was fantastic. I did a visit to the camps garden as well that was beautiful. Loved the camp and so happy that I choosed Entomoto for my holiday and would like to come back 🙏

It's a beautiful camp site (second stay for me, third stay for my partner) lying on the hillside, with the main tents (dining, reception) at the bottom near a watering hole, and the guest tents split into two groups depending on the budget you have in mind. The higher up your tent is on the hillside, the more beautiful the view becomes (although the view from the tents lower on the hill is already very pretty). Tents are excellent, good beds and sheets, great bathrooms, a nice little patio to sit outside and enjoy the weather. Staff are excellent (special shoutout to Polly who helped with the booking) and the food is great. Packed lunches for a full day game drive also very good.

Entumoto is the most amazing safari camp I have ever stayed out. The surroundings are beautiful, the tents are lovely, the service is exceptional, the animals plentiful. But the thing that made it really stand out were the staff. John (camp manager) Alec and Bethwell (safari guides) Nickson (who took us for a walk) They were all amazing. Such lovely people and made for such a memorable experience. The staff I haven't mentioned from the room stewards, to the waitresses, the gardeners, the guards... they were all wonderful people and really made the experience. The social and conservation work that Entumoto does is also to be highly commended. The staff are rightly very proud to work at the camp, and are treated very well. The camp's impact in the local community (as detailed on their website) is wonderful to see, and should be an example to all safari camps. Thank you all for an amazing time. We had an experience of a lifetime here at Entumoto and the Mara. The warmth the place exudes is so genuine; may you continue to do so. The kitchen is exceptional and the food just perfect. This is a place with such high standards in guest management that you don't actually feel that you are a guest. Every step taken by John and his team to make our trip memorable was deliberate, measured and the least intrusive. Abraham spent 3 days with us and showed us around the Mara and the Siana Conservancy like no other could. He showed us that it is not about rushing from one spot to the next but to savor every moment patiently, and the wild will come to you. The visit to the Masai village was very humbing. We left with many memories, some captured on camera but more were imprinted deep in our memory to revisit often.

Amazing experience and hospitality is beyond! We enjoyed every minute of our stay, the tents, the staff, the food, the pool and especially the safari with knowledgable guides We spent 3 days and highly recommend a balloon ride whwn the sun is coming up.

Entumoto is a unique gem of a place. It is nestled in the midst of a valley in a private conservancy. What made it more special is that the conservancy is owned by the local community and Entumoto supports the local schools and also educates the children on the importance of conservation . The few rooms means more personalised service by the kind staff who mostly live within the area . Zack who always happy to bring us refreshments after our long game drives. We were pleasantly surprised by the game that visits the camp, with 16 elephants outside our tent one afternoon. The food was deliciously prepared by the talented chefs with many fruits and vegetables lovingly tended by Emmanuel in their sustainable garden. Of which we were given a lovely tour by John. We have stayed in lots of other camps in Mara however the unique setting and vision of Entumoto has won us over. We hope Entumoto gets a lot of support as the local community benefits directly from their success.

This was our final camp of our stay in Africa and "saving the best for last" was never truer. We were the ONLY guests staying the nights we were there and were thus treated to a once in a lifetime experience of the staff's full attention. The setting is nestled at the base of a hill in a small valley with a view of the sun setting over the Maasai Mara and a small watering hole that attracted elephants, buffalo and zebra every evening. The public spaces were cozy with overstuffed chairs and couches, a wonderful fireplace, books and games and just the amazing views. If there was something we wanted or needed, we hardly even needed to ask as they always seemed to anticipate everything. One afternoon I thought to myself, "popcorn sounds really good right now" - that evening before dinner what should be put out for us to snack on - yep popcorn. After a tour of their gardens I made a comment to my husband that the avocado they were growing looked amazing and would make great guacamole. Lunch the next day included an avocado salad that was basically deconstructed guac! We had dinner in the bush one evening where they packed us up and headed out into the wild where they set up a buffet line of tasty sides and amazing grilled meats to enjoy to the sounds of the crackling bonfire and evening breezes. Fantastic once in a lifetime experience! Only suggestion I would add here is for them to invest in a better way to provide hot water to the tents. As it is, wood burning stoves are stationed at each tent which provide just enough water for about 4-5 minutes of shower time for 1 person. Taking consecutive showers among tent mates is not possible without having them first restock the fire and allowing 10 minutes for the water to heat up. Another camp we stayed in used solar heating for the hot water and seemed much more efficient.

I am not sure where to begin. This is an ecological camp. The fruit and veg are grown on the grounds and you can get a tour if you like. The food we ate was REALLY good. The tents are really big and hot water bottles are placed in the bed each evening. We did a night drive safari in hopes of catching a lion on the prowl but had no luck. We did see other animals and the stars were unbelievably bright. The next evening we were treated to a Bush Dinner. We were taken to a secluded area in the bush. There was a big table set for our group and a huge bon fire blazing in the cool night. We had 5 kinds of grilled meat and many yummy sides. They did a picnic for a long game run complete with food, drinks, table and table clothes, and chairs. We sat under a shade tree with a view of the plains around us. The lounge was big and had a fireplace. There was a fire pit and seating area outside where you could watch the animals come and go to the watering hole. Sunset from here was amazing. This not a handicapped friendly location. The climb to your tent is hard if you are not used to the altitude. The hot water is heated by a wood fire that sometimes means some smoke in the tent if the wind blows the wrong way. we would go out of our way to stay here again. The staff was fantastic and so was the camp.

This place is something else! The furnishings in this hotel is amazing, all the well thought out details makes it to be a wonderful experience! There is not a room for gym big but has some dumbbells and yoga mats to accomplish a nice work out, a nice plus is the view from the spot. The selections from the menu will satisfy for whatever you prefer to eat and drink, they are very flexible in time etc. The service of the personal is OUTSTANDING, all from how John did welcomed us, how the cleaning crew ensures a clean stay and how Isac put a lots of effort to make you have the best experience while driving in the park and makes sure that you always are comfortable. The camp is pretty small but the feeling of familiarity is amazing, the service in the restaurant, from the security guys and all included to make Entumoto has really been amazing from first until last second of our stay.
