Marari Dreamz Homestay

We stayed at Marsri Dreamz for a week in early Jan 2025. We absolutely loved the place. Allwyn, Jency Manju and the rest of the staff are so welcoming and friendly. They are super attentive and always on hand to help with getting a tuk tuk or arranging trips out etc. We stayed in the Red Stone Villa which had all we needed for a comfortable stay, including comfortable, clean beds, fan , aircon and a fridge not to mention the delightful open air bathroom with mango tree. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained by the staff, and our pool was a delight. The breakfasts were lovely and we ate in every evening and were presented with a vast array of 7 or 8 home cooked dishes by Jency with rice and breads. Lots of unusual things we had never tried before. Bottles of mineral water were always on hand. The property is within easy walking distance of Marari's stunning beach. We really admire the work Allwyn znd Jency are doing here providing work for the villagers. They care about Marari and the people and the education of the young people. My husband and I are English teachers, and Allwyn organised for us to teach them a lesson, providing all materials notebooks for them etc. They even have a tribe of rescue cats , kittens and dogs they take in and care for. We enjoyed our stay immensely in this little corner of paradise. Thank you.xx

Came back from Marari Dreamz recently having stayed for 12 nights. Absolutely gorgeous Allwyn and Jency the owners really made our stay special, from organizing trips to pointers of best things to do. The food however was the highlight fantastic breakfast every morning and dinner was the real star of the show.We ate in every evening as it was so good,huge variety,never anything repeated,and just the most amazing flavours. The rooms were beautiful, outside shower was fantastic. The pool a real haven, perfect to cool off or chill with a book.

What a fantastic place to stay. We only had 4 nights there but wish we could have had more. We had a villa with our own pool surrounded by beautiful gardens. There is also a main pool where we sometimes went to chat to people we had met there. Allwyn and Jensy, our hosts, are really lovely people. Nothing was too much trouble for them , they were very interesting to talk to and always on hand if we needed anything. The food Jensy cooked was amazing every night. She kindly let my husband spend some time in the kitchen watching her cook and even sent us her receipts. We would definitely book with them again, a truly peaceful and magical stay.

From the first initial contact with Allwyn to ask about availability right through to the fond farewell the warmth of everyone at Marari Dreamz has impressed us and made us feel so welcomed and valued. In the planning stage of our visit, the email communication was very prompt,friendly and informative. Allwyn arranged for a taxi to meet us at the airport, a change of flight a week before we arrived was no issue at all, indeed the response was ‘great, you will be here in time to join us for dinner.’ When we arrived the welcome from both Allwyn and his wife Jency was warm and friendly, insisting we ate dinner before doing the boring admin check in process. Upon arrival at our room, Tamarind villa with our own pool, it looked like an oasis of calmness and tranquility. The spacious room was spotlessly clean with very good A/C. The outside space had a range of seating options and a ceiling fan to keep the air moving when we were sat outside. Perfect to come back, dip in the pool and cool down after time at the beach The location is excellent, a beautiful beach 7 minutes walk away, an Ayurvedic clinic 3 mins in the opposite direction, and little shops within 2 minutes walk. The use of the free bikes on offer allowed exploration of the local area, visiting the village centre and temples. During check in we were given a leaflet outlining all the local activities that could be done if you wanted to explore further. Jency organised a tuk tuk at 7am one morning to drive up the coast to see the local fishermen land their catch- an amazing ‘real life’ experience. When I managed to loose my prescription sunglasses Allwyn was incredibly helpful in helping me source a new pair online and sorting out payment. Finally, Jenny’s food! From that first evening meal followed by a delicious breakfast the following day we knew we were in for a treat! In the six nights we stayed the variety of breakfast items and the amazing evening meals we experienced were outstanding- we never had the same local dish twice, and the range of different dishes delivered to our table for the evening meal was staggering. Our only issue was that there was too much food! A particular highlight for me was to join Jency in her kitchen on several occasions whilst she was preparing the evening meal and learn how to make some of the delicious Kerelan dishes. Everything was made from scratch using fresh ingredients. They tasted amazing! We would throughly recommend Marari Dreamz to anyone, a gem of a Homestay experience.

This was our first Kerala homestay. Allwyn and Jency were very welcoming and looked after us with delicious food, helping us get to Alleppey backwaters and booking our train journey to Coimbatore. The villa was cleaned every day, staff helpful and very relaxing. Very hospitable hosts. As hosts they go the extra mile!

Wow what can I say we stayed here for six nights and definitely felt like part of the family. I visited here with a couple of friends and I am so glad I have been Introduced to this little paradise 😀 Allwyn and Jency are the perfect host with massive hearts, helping us with excursions out, just everything. We enjoyed fresh breakfast and home cooked dinner which I have to say was outstanding. These two have the most amazing story of how it all started, could have sat hours chatting with them. Keep up the good work guys and my family and I will definitely be back xxx
