No 42 by GuestHouse, Margate

From stepping out of the car in the secure car park to the cheerful goodbye upon checking out, No.42 always delivers an ‘at home…but better’ feeling. This was our second stay at No.42, having enjoyed our experience thoroughly the first time, we were eager to return and it did not disappoint. It’s very well located in Margate but to be honest we were there for the hospitality and comfort of No.42. For someone who is admittedly very fussy when it comes to hotel rooms, No42 is faultless. The spaciousness, the exceedingly comfy bed and duvet as well as the luxurious Wildsmith toiletries made us feel so cosy and thoroughly looked after. The small touches such as the record player are also appreciated. And don’t get me started on the goodies in the pantry, we had been dreaming of the lemon drizzle cake from when we left the previous time but the brownies were sensational. We can’t wait to return!

Stayed at the lovely Guesthouse in Margate as a birthday trip and had such a lovely time. The rooms where comfy, really enjoyed the pantry. Had a beautiful view of the sea with breakfast and took short walks on the beach. It felt cosy and just what I needed.

Couldn't fault our stay here, we stayed in their outlook suite which is directly opposite the beach. The suite was stunning and the rolltop bath was incredible. We could have asked for more. I proposed to my girlfriend there and it was the perfect setting, we can't wait to return and we would highly recommend.

Our visit at No.42 was an amazing experience. The room was incredibly spacious for two people and extremely well presented. It included a huge bathroom which was the perfect place to unwind after a long day of walking around Margate. Every member of staff that we encountered at the hotel was extremely helpful and friendly, including a night time worker who had a chat with my mum and offered her a hot drink during a bout of insomnia! We visited for her birthday weekend and the restaurant staff gave us a complimentary glass of prosecco and dessert which made her feel really special! The spa was very relaxing and a perfect way to end our trip. The spa staff were really knowledgeable and made sure we left feeling very relaxed. Overall, I cannot rate this hotel highly enough and we are looking forward to visiting it again in the future!

The room was so so cosy and it had an incredible sea view! The smell of fresh air and the sea was lovely to wake up to in the mornings. We also had great sunny weather. Many cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants in the vicinity - absolutely no need for a taxi. The staff were very kind and always assisted when needed! They have gone above and beyond for us regarding an issue we were having on our first night. I will be coming back for sure!

Absolutely loved our stay! I took my mum for a night and we absolutely loved the room, such cosy and thoughtful decor. The staff were amazing- so efficient, helpful, friendly and really made a difference to the experience. Location is also great too. Highly recommend!
