Hotel San Carlo

Orada 2 gece kaldık. Konumun sizi Venedik'e götüren T1 tramvay durağına çok yakın olması hoşuma gidiyor. Oda küçük ve duş küçük. Klima hiç çalışmıyor. Resepsiyona gittiğimde ve personele klimanın çalışmadığını söylediğimde Çarşamba akşam 22.00 civarındaydı. O kadar kaba davrandı ki bana "hangi ülkeden gelirsem geleyim ama İtalya'da nisan ayında kimse klima kullanmıyor" dedi. Bana pencereyi açmamı söyledi çünkü İtalyanlar böyle yapar. Ona, eğer pencereleri açarsam dışarıdaki sesleri duyabildiğimi ve doğru dürüst uyuyamadığımı söyledim. Daha sonra klimanın sağlıklı olmadığını ve temiz hava vermediğini söyledi. Ona benim için klimayı kontrol edip edemeyeceğini sordum, o da benimle birlikte odama geldi. Merdivenlerden yukarı çıkarken merdiven boşluğunun yanındaki pencerelerden birini açtı ve kollarımı açılan pencereye doğru çekerek "Dışarıdan gelen serin havayı hisset, pencerelerini açmalısın" dedi. Kanada'da birinin kolunu çekip yakalamak saldırı olarak değerlendirilebiliyor. Bu yüzden ona dava açabilirdim. Bu personel çok kaba. Nasıl davrandığına şaşırdım. Ben ona odadaki klimamızın çalışmadığını söylüyordum o da sesini yükseltip "Mama Mia" demeye devam etti. Hiçbir müşteri hizmeti yok, kaba ve kaba. Kesinlikle bu oteli tavsiye etmeyeceğim. Keşke 0 yıldız verebilseydim.

Very clean & comfortable room with housekeeping doing excellent work daily. The front desk staff was extremely kind & helpful, specifically Alessandro who truly went out of his way to share recommendations. He helped us with meal, local travel & sites to visits along with a daily “Italian word of the day” to help us in our adventures. He truly offered excellent customer service & was a true asset to the hotel stay. THANK YOU SO MUCH ALESSANDRO & rest of San Carlo staff for a wonderful week. We can’t wait to return.

Decent hotel. Quiet. A/C works great. Water preassure is strong. Only shampoo and liquid soap are available. Wish the rooms have tea maker. The breakfast mostly consist of pastures, which are fresh and delicious. Eggs, salami, cheese, butter, yogurt, hot tea and coffee are also served. Staff very friendly and helpful. Trolley and bus tickets are available to purchase at check-in counter.

This hotel is no frills. Staff was not overly friendly but not rude. The property is old but had what you need.

Very nice people at desk. Amenities are null but good enough for just sleeping. Bathroom super small but if you are not too picky, this hotel serves well. We did have to walk up 2 flights of stairs with our bags since the lift was not working when we were there. This is an older building.

For the price per night, we were disappointed that the A/C didn’t work in one of our rooms, we were on the third floor but the elevator was out of operation, and we couldn’t connect to the WiFi (this was a problem because we wanted to download movies for our long flight home the next day). The positives were that the staff was friendly, we were only 12 minutes drive from the Marco Polo airport, and it was a three minute walk to the team/bus which took us into the heart of Venice for shopping and touring. Purchasing the public transportation pass at the hotel was totally worth it. If the hotel can update a few things and keep up the friendly service, it would be worth staying…

This is a reasonably priced hotel in a great location to easily travel into Venice on the tram. After seeing tourists with hotels in the centre of Venice dragging bags up and drown steps over canal bridges - this location was much better !!!! The hotel and the rooms are dated but very clean and our air con worked. Hair dryers are provided. There are no tea / coffee making facilities in the room. The receptionists were all very helpful and you can buy tickets for all public transport from them. Breakfast was 8 euros each and was basic but perfectly adequate and value for money. Travel to Venice takes about 10-15 minutes on the tram - the stop is called Musetta and the tram is number 1. Tickets are 3 euros return . Travelling from the airport was confusing initially- go through the arrivals hall then through the exit and there is a desk where you can buy a return bus ticket ( 15 euros) to the hotel. The bus ( number 15) stops 10 metres down the road from the hotel. The stop to get on the bus is just outside the airport exit doors.There are ticket machines inside the terminal but these were confusing so would suggest the help desk as above. You can buy a ticket for any public transport for 24 hours ( including the vaporetta to the islands) for 25 euros from the hotel reception- great value ! Take insect repellent… A great stay and would recommend anyone using this hotel .
