Disgusting place! I was here for work. And the room they provided me with was dirty, hairy, and dark only 1 light working in the room. The walls are very thin I could hear the tele next door in my room word for word. On my first day I waited 20 minuets in the reception waiting for someone to attend to me, paperwork being left out I saw a staff time sheet as well as a booking in sheet just left on top which had customers names and room numbers on- to me this is a huge breach of safeguarding information. After booking in and seeing my room- I thought I would add breakfast to my stay. When I asked to do this, the lady behind the desk clicked on her computer for a bit, before turning to her colleague and in front of me saying “ do you know how the f*ck I do this ?” I was appalled at her language in front of me. The same lady, when I was outside for a vape, was clearly leaving the building coming off shift- I gave her a smile to which she looked me up and down and gave me the dirtiest look! Honestly if i was here for pleasure my trip would have been absolutely ruined. Added photos include - MOULD in the shower, a unknown stain on a chair that was there throughout my stay, and small hairs found in my ‘new’ hand towel.

We booked in last night 1st of June and checked out 1st of June. The noise unbelievable from next door, woke to the neighbours banging on doors constantly and then partying.went downstairs to complain to be told they have a lot of groups staying... So that's ok... As we are away working we needed sleep The mattress was the worsted ever The microwave food burnt me. Totally disgusted at the response of the hotel staff so much so we checked out at 10.00 And checked into the holiday inn. Have Putin a complaint to booking requesting a refund.

Stayed here a few times I don’t know why I came back! The last 6 months it has gone down hill massively! Greeted by the manager smelling of cigarettes very rude and stroppy, needs to brush that hair of hers, I was given a room on the ground floor absolute disgrace wouldn’t let my pet lizards in their tank sleep in that filth! that room was not cleaned stains all over the sink and shelve poo in the toilet towels chucked on the bed food all over the dresser bin crisp packets in the draw bag left in bin with rubbish in it!! cleaner must of been having a bad day to be cleaning like that!! I came to reception told her I’m not sleeping in that room got given a dirty look very unprofessional! I was then given room 22 it was so much better defiantly have different kinds of cleaners in that place was very clean neat and tidy I was intrigued to see the cleaners of this place!!!!! In the morning I was greeted by a cleaner very polite but was stuck into work still managed to greet me with a smile and hello I couldn’t help myself to have a little chit chat with her I asked if she works here every day she replied with no just 3 days I asked if she works alone she said no there’s a few of us I asked if she cleans the same rooms daily she replied with no not all the time I cleaned these rooms on this floor yesterday tho but might be on a different floor tomorrow need more cleaners like her on all floors in my personal opinion! that ground floor cleaner/cleaners needs training if not sacking! She may be a cleaner but she was very well presented red and black uniform a beautiful mixed lady I’m pretty sure another lady came onto the corridor and called her “mom” which was shocking she didn’t look a day over 25 ;) very polite & helpful she gave me some extra sugar and coffee I would of gave her a tip if I had cash on me. room on looked the canal it was a bit noisy at night but not to bad woke up in the morning had a lovely breakfast the white male waiter david or dale was friendly too And just completed the stay! My stay started bad but ended pleasant I Left around 11am Asian guy on reception was very friendly too, it is great place but sadly certain areas and staff spoil it I won’t be to quick to book another room here! hopefully gets a better manager and refurb upstairs and it will be great and they may get my custom again..

People trying to enjoy themselves stopped by Mandy being a nuisance. Fussed at everything, asked for WiFi 3 times. Burger was good but £13! Slow service, no water in room or fridge. Noisy from road. Wouldn’t rush back. Could be a lot better really.

Had a lovely Sunday dinner at the cuttle bridge on Sunday 5th May, food was delicious.. the carvery includes broccoli & leak cheese and dauphinois potatoes! 3 courses for just over £20 is great value. Only downside is they could have done with a few more staff as it was quite busy. I would also like to thank the lovely young male chef working the carvery, he was very attentive and helped my nan with her plate as she was struggling to hold it aswell as put her food on it. Overall great food and nice atmosphere, will return

This place has such a great position by a canal that it could be wonderful. But it isn't. It's tired and rough. I couldn't get my card key to work twice and my concerns were heightened as the two receptionists had a hissed conversation about the room. 'We don;t use that room anymore' said one 'You know, after that man...' 'That man WHAT?' I thought. Walking down a beer garden strewn with dirty crockery and passed a drink left on a radiator did nothing to allay my concerns. The room had a battered neglected air. The heater didn't work and a piece fell off. The tv didn't work either, despite there being two controls, one of which had lost its back. I couldn't leave fast enough.

The nicest hotel , we booked last minute due to our flight being delayed and I’m glad we did the staff are so friendly and welcoming and the room was lovely and clean . Would definitely recommend to anyone . The breakfast was absolutely gorgeous and so much choice .

Very poor. Sound proofing of my room was shocking. I couid hear every footstep of the above room with every floorboard creaking. Every conversation could be heard. The rooms need work. Wall lights not working, one bin in the bathroom so making a cuppa meant a journey to the bathroom bin. It was a risk but won’t be back. The rooms need a lot of work. To be kept awake by snoring, footsteps and talking from other rooms is not acceptable in 2024.
