Expedition Lodge

We had two nights here, while visiting the National Parks on Moab's doorstep. Very pleased for the most part. Check-in was smooth. It is laid out in a motel style, so access to your room is from the outside. The room was clean and spacious. I especially liked the styling of this property... It embraced it's name and stuck to a retro theme. I was surprised to see the outdoor pool remained open (other guests were using it) even in January. The property is well situated for day trips and dining, with lots of options right there. Parking is free on site but I can imagine it would get full in peak season, albeit roadside parking looked to also be free. I've held off giving 5 stars for two reasons: 1) The water was shut off entirely due to an issue one morning, for a short spell. I understand things happen but it would have been good to notify guests. 2) The anti-slip bathmat had clearly never been cleaned under. A corner folded back while I was washing and there was significant mold build up. Again, easily overlooked but worth mentioning, as the rest of the place was spotless. There was a loud argument on-site one night too but this can happen anywhere, and I didn't get the sense that it spoke to the neighbourhood at all. When we ate out, the streets seemed peaceful and other patrons and staff seemed friendly.

The staff was exceedingly helpful! Incredibly festive property-decorated for the holiday (including a little Elf on the Shelf). The rooms were very clean and offered great amenities. Would absolutely stay here again!

Our family stayed here for 2 nights and found it fantastic. The included breakfast spread had a good range of choices, our boys had a blast on the free arcade machines while we were packing up, and much fun was had on the waterslide while the adults enjoyed the hot tub. Great location, with an easy drive to the nearby national parks and plenty of parking available. We hope to visit again!

I chose this place because there was no extra charge for dogs. The room was large, the breakfast was good and the accommodation was on the side of the road so it was easy to get to. One thing that was bad was the bad smell coming from the shower curtain. If it wasn't for that, I would have had much better memories.

Loved their special touch and sense of humor. We stayed on Chris**as Eve and they had an awesome hot cocoa bar in lobby and little treats. Very festive and fun. Slept great.

My family loved this motel. We were just stopping in for the night but the room was comfortable. The lobby, breakfast area, and exterior were decorated for Chris**as, which was wonderful. The staff were friendly and helpful when we had an issue with the heat in our room.

It’s a basic motel close to the national park. It has all that is needed and plenty of nearby shops.

One of our favorite places to stay in Moab! We love that there are 3 queen beds so our whole family can fit comfortably. My kids love the heated pool with water slide & free arcade and I love the delicious free breakfast, hot tub, laundry facilities on site & the price! The location is also great & very convenient to get to. We will definitely stay here again!

The staff was amazing and so friendly. The rooms were clean and perfect.
