Lack of activities. Could not make dinner reservations online though that is the only way they allow to. Could not go to the two neighboring RIU properties even though they were connected at the beach.

I love the RIU brand. Lots of activities, food options, night club on site and a different show every night. I will not stay anywhere else when visiting Jamaica. I’ve been to this resort 4 times already and will go back again!

If you are looking for just a place to get away on a budget and maybe on the younger side (young professional) this may be your place. I feel like I would have had a better time if I went with some friends in my early 20s. But if you are used to a certain level of quality and service in an all inclusive resort then you may want something a little more up scale. Pool events were fun and water park was really good!

We really loved the Steak House and Italian Restaurant Sofia’s. We wish there was music all day by the pool and the service was a little slow but other than that everything was excellent. Beautiful property!

We really enjoyed our week at RIU MoBay. The Jamaican buffet & Pepe’s was delicious, and we typically can’t find anything to eat when we stay at all-inclusive resorts. Entertainment team is the best, hands down! Always activities going on and they all have amazing personalities. Music was a big plus as it was mostly reggae which is what we typically listen to. Rooms were clean and spacious, and cleaned & stocked daily. Property is on the smaller side of RIUs we’ve stayed at previously so the walking wasn’t exhausting. I didn’t like was that we didn’t have access to Reggae where typically you can access all sister resorts except the Palace. The beach was also not as nice as most I’ve been to but they had several free non motorized water sports. They have a night club, RIU parties and 24-7 sports bar to always keep you entertained. We made so many friends while there, it was a great time! I can’t understand any of the negative reviews because that was not our experience at all. If you’re thinking of going, do it!

Entertainment was a 10/10 here. I’ve been to many all inclusives around the caribbean but nothing comes close to Riu entertainment. Lots of shows, games, and events that allow you to feel included as a group. Music could be dull at times but not something I chose to complain about because I cannot expect a place to only play my favorite genres. Just something to keep in mind in case you were expecting dancing or party music, it’s usually old 80’s-90’s hits which was perfectly ok for us. Reservations were hard to get and we were only able to eat at 1 specialty restaurant during our stay which was the steakhouse and it was really good. Can’t say much about the other specialties but breakfast/lunch/dinner at the buffets was decent enough, pretty much the same as any other resort. i’ll give it a 6/10, pretty average. From there, rooms were clean, pools were clean, staff was incredibly friendly and drinks were good and enough to get us buzzed since we aren’t huge drinkers. I would definitely come back here. There was not a moment I felt unsafe or uncared for, staff does a good job of making you feel included.

Difficulty finding areas. Villas were numbered but no numbers visible until u were on top of them. Instructions for checkout very unclear.

First all inclusive. Loved the multiple salt water pools. Food was pretty good, drinks were poured heavy, and the sun was amazing. Beach/ocean area has some seaweed in it but it’s in a bay, not much to be done there. Room “credits” were confusing and we were not able to successfully use them. Loved seeing the cats around, made it feel more comfortable for me.

I checked in at 4 pm and had not eaten all day. The restaurants were sold out for the three days I was there. Extremely limited food selection at that time and no where to buy anything. How do you make rice and beans taste bad? Had I closed my eyes I would have thought the pizza was cardboard with can sauce I had one bite of each. The worst food in my life. Never ate anything again there. There was no desk/vanity table in the room. Service was good but the product horrible.
