L'Hotel Particulier Griffintown

Beware, this place looks so much better on its listing than it actually is. It’s not described accurately. It is in a rough / noisy area and there is no secure private parking as advertised, only public or on-street parking (or this was the case when I was there, which was a deal-breaker). Front desk staff were pleasant enough, but the owner / manager was very unpleasant, unhelpful and totally dismissive of the issues with the room he offered, resulting in us not being able to stay at all. The air-con didn’t work properly (in sweltering heat with 3 small children), the window was taped up with sellotape so wasn’t secure and the stairs to the top floor are VERY steep. Sadly, the hotel staff were not interested. Not suitable for children or mobility challenged guests. Suggest alternatives would be a better option. Any alternative.

Quaint apartment and we loved the secret garden too. Quiet and peaceful and had everything we needed for a lovely stay! We even called day of to make sure there were towels, linens, toiletries, and Michael answered right away. P.S. Check out Le Petit Dep for your morning coffee -- you won't be disappointed! Only downside was parking was a little difficult, but manageable!

Great location in the heart of griffintown and very spacious and clean! Very quiet and perfect for solo travellers and couples alike. The neighborhood is very close to downtown and has all the essential amenities. The host was great at responding to all questions and was super helpful.

Our stay at this unique venue for the three-day business meeting was quite fascinating. The layout of the place had a touch of unconventionality that made it stand out. The artwork displayed on the walls was remarkable and left a lasting impression on us. The host was always prompt in responding to our queries and was extremely helpful throughout our stay. And, last but not least, the location was simply fantastic and provided us with great convenience in terms of accessibility.

I am a Montreal native and it was the first time I had to book an accommodation in my home town. For me the location is in a sweet spot. We had plan to stay 2 nights but we ending up booking 2 extra nights because we felt good there. The manager made it possible to prolong our stay very easily. We had to change to the next door apartments on the last night so we experienced two different apartments and both were very nice and clean. The entire staff is super nice! It was an excellent stay. Many thanks! The con. The television situation is not ideal. You will need to bring your own whatever subscription with you or mirror your own device. I did not manage to even turn on the tv in the second apartment.

We rented the outdoor space for our wedding reception, and it was the most amazing night! The owner went above and beyond in helping us make our wedding dreams come true! It is such an amazing and beautiful space 100/10 !!

Clean. Responsive. Professional but personal service. Michael is a truly exceptional host. Fresh French pastries from a local shop in the mornings and a long hot shower in the evenings! I will not stay anywhere else in Montreal! Book it ASAP.

Michael, the owner is very welcoming, great host! the duplex is cozy and confortable with all you need. Great location to explore and experience Montreal as a local. Thank you !! I hope Rue Ottawa if done with construction soon!!

My boyfriend and I spent 2 nights here for our 2-year anniversary while visiting Montreal and were blown away. Michael was lovely, he greeted us at the door to help us check in and told us to reach out if we need anything. The room was in fact a huge apartment with a fully stocked kitchen (kitchen supplies wise) with stainless steel appliances, a large dining room, TV which allowed access to Apple TV, many apps, ability to screen share. The master bedroom was also very large, the whole apartment was designed with amazing attention to detail (cool light fixtures and art). It’s in a really lovely neighborhood which was walking distance from the old port, but also many restaurants, cute cafes, grocery stores a few min walk away. If you’re staying in Montreal you must come stay here!!! We had such a nice anniversary weekend and wished we could stay for longer. The apartment was cozy, extremely well priced compared to what we would have gotten at an tiny overpriced hotel room. Looking forward to returning soon!
