Le Manoir

We spent in this hotel 1 night. There the 3 of us (parents + 1 teenager). We have booked the largest room of the hotel (50m2 around ). We are very satisfied by this experience: staff is very friendly (apparently a new owner), always ready to provide information, to support the customer . Hotel is located close to the highway but the orientation of our room (facing the village) was very good : no noise from the highway could be heard . The castle (on the top of the hill) can be reached after 20-30min walking . Panoramic view is impressive . I strongly recommend this place.

Mornas serves as a pit-stop for vehicles heading south down the Nationale 7, the French equivalent of Route 66, towards the French Riviera. Upon our arrival in Mornas, my family and I were exhausted and unkempt, leading to the neighboring hotel's rejection of our stay. This was a first for me, as every beginning has its own starting point. However, we ventured into the Manor with some trepidation. The proprietor greeted us with u**ost kindness and benevolence, putting us at ease. We were provided a generously sized, affordable room with a lavishly furnished bathroom. The window offered a stunning view. The hotel is graced by a cliff hosting the medieval citadel of Mornas and the beautiful church of Notre Dame, both of which we toured. There, we interacted with Mornas veterans, including a 90-year-old shepherd who wrote a delightful collection of memories. Returning to the hotel, we dined and were pleasantly surprised by the non-classic service and meal. We ate heartily, and our kids were granted special favors, including extra ice cream, which was enthusiastically received by our young ones. The evening was delightful, with a view of the courtyard and lit lanterns. Despite our concerns about road noise, I was able to sleep soundly thanks to the well-soundproofed room. The next day, we engaged in a lengthy conversation with the amicable proprietor, who offered valuable advice on how to reach our destination. We will undoubtedly return.

We were very pleased with our stay as we had arrived in the evening tired from cycling all day and immediately were well taken care off. The staff offered a secure place to store our bikes and were very kind. Overall a lovely stay in an overlooked gem.

Hôtel calme et très sympathique, au cœur de ce village restauré, avec des propriétaires très à l’écoute. Le charme de l’ancien, dans cette vieille bâtisse au pied de la forteresse. Chambre propre et spacieuse. Nous sommes arrivés un peu après la fin du service du restaurant mais en ayant prévenu à l’avance, cela n’a pas posé de problème. Mornas n’est pas qu’une aire d’autoroute! Arrêtez-vous au manoir pour déjeuner, dîner ou/et dormir et vous pourrez le découvrir!

Points + : L'accueil et la disponibilité des gérants, charme de l'ancien, parking gratuit. Points - : Travaux de rénovation à prévoir. Dommage car les gérants s'impliquent au profit des clients.

Très bon accueil dans ce bâtiment historique qui se déploie autour d’une grande cour et d’une terrasse ombragée. Nous avions pris une chambre dans la partie historique, donnant sur une rue du village. Très propre et dotée d’une bonne literie, nous avons profité d’une halte reposante sur la route du sud. Le lendemain, bien que n’ayant pas pris le petit déjeuner, notre hôte nous a gentiment offert un café, qui était le bienvenu avant une balade jusqu’à la citadelle avant de reprendre la route. Une bonne adresse sur l’historique nationale 7 dans un charmant village.

Nous avons eu l’occasion de venir deux fois au Manoir, les chambres sont très confortables. Les propriétaires sont très accueillants et à l’écoute. Le restaurant propose de très bon plats et la terrasse ombragée est très agréable. Le plus, c’est le cadre, au pied de la falaise et idéalement situé pour visiter la citadelle. Nous recommandons cet établissement.

Voor op doorreis naar spanje een hele goede uitstekende plek om te overnachten. Goede afstand met nog een paar honderd naar spanje. Na corona wel wat achterstallig werk in de tuin te doen want dat terras kan levendiger en beter. Met eigenaar gesproken en is van goede wil. Prima hotelkamer. Prima diner en prima ontbijt.

Wir übernachteten in diesem romantischen Hotel nach 2011 zum zweiten Mal, weil wir vom Ambiente und dem Charm dieses Hauses begeistert waren und sind. Von den zwei neuen Inhabern, die dieses Haus im April übernommen haben wurden wir überaus herzlich empfangen. Der Service war perfekt, das Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen und die Zimmer waren gut und sauber. In der Unterhaltung zeigte sich, welche Wertschätzung und tolle Visionen die Inhaber mit diesem Ehrwürdigen Haus verbinden. Wir wünschen den Beiden, sowie dem Personal für das Gelingen all dieser Vorhaben alles erdenklich Gute und bedanken uns ganz herzlich für die schönen Stunden in diesem Haus.
