A holiday that lived up to the hype !!. Although there were a few things that could have been improved in my opinion , the short break to Ramot was well worth the drive from our home in the centre (of Israel) . Although one of the lifts/elevators didn't work on the day of our arrival , and the activities board located near the reception area , was ONLY in Hebrew , there were at least welcome drinks and cookies waiting for the many guests that arrived ( take note Dan Carmel ) . Our room was located in the main building (the same one as the dining room ) was was sufficient for our needs ( 4 days 3 nights) .The swimming pool snack bar had a limited menu , but the portion size suited us , as we intended to "indulge" in the much talked about Ramot dining room food . There were activities laid on for the "younger guests " , and there was also a table tennis table that could be used ( see reception for ball and bats ) .The workout room was one of the smallest I can remember seeing ( floor 2 main building) . There were evening activities organised , a campfire sing along , a talented local singer , and a " late " night ( 9p.m) pool " party" on consecutive nights . Friday evening dinner was great !! (I recommend the smoked Entrecote - I went back for more, twice ) . It's a pity that there was only one type of soup available , but I was saving myself for the desserts anyway !!! - my thanks to the hotel management for granting me permission to photograph the food before the dining room officially opened . The " invisibles " ( the staff that cleaned the rooms , dining- room etc ) did a great job - these people are often taken for granted , and an occasional " thank you" brings a smile to their faces . This establishment is largely an " Israeli" "hotel" , and caters for families - so if you are looking for a quiet weekend , Mid - Summer might not be the best time to visit here !!
