The George Hotel Mykonos

Great hotel. Perfect location. Staff is amazing. Food is mehhh. But oh well.

Nachdem relativ schnell durch den Flughafen gekommen ist, stand bereit der kostenlose private Flughafentransfer bereit und man war bereits 15 Minuten später im Hotel. Dort checkt man ein und man konnte schon in den Morgenstunden ins Hotelzimmer. Das Hotelpersonal isr zuvorkommend und kümmert sich um alles das alles dem Kunden zu bester Zufriedenheit einen schönen Urlaub hat. Zudem hat man von Hotel einen wunscherschönen Ausblick.

We recently had a wonderful stay at The George Hotel in Mykonos. From the moment we arrived, this hotel met and, in fact, exceeded our expectations. The property is lovely with amazing views of the water. The pools are picturesque with an abundant supply of comfortable lounge chairs surrounding them. Our room was spacious and well appointed. And, to cap things off, each morning we were treated to an outstanding breakfast with lots of variety. Each hotel staff member we encountered during our three night stay was very helpful. The location of the property is ideal with the beach and an abundance of restaurants only a very short walk away. We would most certainly return to this hotel on any visit to Mykonos.

We spent 4 wonderful days and nights at the George Hotel. The rooms were very comfortable, the outdoor restaurant where breakfast was served daily was superb, and the staff was incredibly helpful and courteous. The beach was just a short walk down a path, but we spent most of our time near the 2 beautiful swimming pools, where there were plenty of lounge chairs, and food and drinks were readily available. I highly recommend The George Hotel - our stay was extremely comfortable, and the setting was gorgeous. You will not be disappointed.

When researching hotel options in Mykonos for my family vacation, I had really hoped to stay on the beach. We were planning a trip for seven people consisting of myself and my wife, my three children ages 10, 13 and 15, and my two parents so it was important to have convenience. After doing much research, I learned that the George has a sister hotel on the beach with shared services. While I was concerned about not being on the beach and how that would impact my children, it turns out staying at the George was one of the highlights of our vacation. The property was out of a postcard, picturesque, well maintained, and absolutely gorgeous. The whitewash walls, the two-tier Infinity pool, and the amazing view was practically built for Instagram. The staff was all helpful and kind throughout. A few days before our trip, my father ended up with an injury and was in a wheelchair. Despite having a few challenges along the way, the entire staff bent over backwards to be as helpful as possible. While we originally wanted to be directly on the beach, it turned out that the elevated view offered a magnificent overlook of the beach town. While we were worried that the walk down to the beach would be a bit of a pain to deal with, the truth is from the front door to the beach and walk was barely 5 minutes. Even the couple of times we decided to go down there with my dad in a wheelchair, Costas The driver for the hotel swiftly brought us down to the beach free of charge. The front desk staff was helpful in arranging transfers, carrying luggage and other activities. Downtown was about 20 minutes drive during traffic and 10 minutes with no traffic. If you're looking to stay around all of the hustle and bustle of downtown, this may not be the ideal place for you, but if you're looking for a super chill, stunningly gorgeous, modern resort on a beautiful beach, this place is for you. Breakfast on the pool patio was delightful. The entire hotel was filled with a lovely combination of international families and beautiful people, just as you would expect to see on the party island of Mykonos. Whether you're traveling with friends, or family, I highly recommend the hotel.

For my 4-day trip to Mykonos, I traveled with my family of seven. It was myself with my three children ages 10, 13, and 15, and my parents. Initially, I was looking for a property directly on the beach. When I spoke with people at the Acrogiali they informed me that they had no availability, however they said I should speak with their sister hotel The George. At first I was hesitant because it was not directly on the beach which was what I really wanted for my kids, but once I realized there weren't many other options, I went ahead with the booking. I was concerned that we were going to be too far away from the beach despite the fact they said it was only a short walk. Once I arrived to the property I was so pleased to learn that the walk to the beach was not even 5 minutes. It was barely a 3-minute walk from the front door down to the beach. What turned out to be a lovely surprise was that by being elevated over the beach up on the hills, we had an exceptional view with stunning sunsets. We learned that guests at other hotels came to the George Beach for the two beautiful Infinity swimming pools which were highly sought after. They offered amazing views of the beach and a good portion of the island. The hotel staff was extraordinarily helpful and accommodating. My father who was in a wheelchair for the trip was tended to at every turn. No matter where we went, there was a member of the staff willing to help. Every morning there was a lovely breakfast buffet by the pool that was a terrific way to wake up with the family. The rooms were all spacious, modern and beautiful. Knowing that Mykonos is largely a party island, we wanted somewhere with some activity, but not too much over the top. This was a perfect combination. The beach promenade was filled with very nice Beach clubs and cafes, and the expected gorgeous people you would hope to see on Mykonos. Every morning we would wake up and see massive yachts parked on the water. This is clearly where the billionaires hang out. Everywhere you turned there are a lot of younger people, beautifully dressed and looking for a good time on Mykonos while they were also a good number of families from across the globe. From the moment we arrived and our driver Costas introduced himself, every member of the staff was extraordinarily gracious and kind. The hotel itself exceeded all expectations as a hillside resort. Everything was freshly painted bright white just like you would expect. The bar at the pool had a super cool and chill vibe and the bartenders were friendly with just the right balance of friendly, small talk and terrific service. The drive into town was about 20 minutes during traffic, and 10 minutes without traffic. If you're looking to be in the downtown party area, this may not be the perfect place for you. But if you're looking for somewhere that is easily accessible to the beach, an amazing view, and a luxurious series of swimming pools, you have to check this out. If you like taking pic
