Hotel was not cleaned ! I took pictures of trash on floor and old blood left on the chairs. The staff was okay but not as helpful as I thought. The balcony was hot from the AC UNIT. There was not remote for TV. The pool could use a good cleaning it was more moldy and water was slightly green

Wife is handicapped and we were placed on the sixth floor which the elevator only goes to fifth. Once we got to the room to use the bathroom no toilet paper, cabinet doors hanging off the hinges, stains on bed and couch, couldn’t find a phone to call the front desk, battery and wiring hanging out of smoke detector, and also went to go out on the balcony and there was no door handle on outside (noticed as I was just about to close the door). Went back down to ask for toilet paper and was told they would send some up. Waited another 20-30 minutes. Which I used to find another hotel. Never got the toilet paper. Walked back down to check out and front desk person ignored us, and we handed back the key and left. I now have been trying for a week to get money back on this hotel and they are denying a refund. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!!!!!

It's an absolutely dump. No handle for the tub faucet. The tub was painted white to look clean. The door did not lock. Sketchy people all over the property. Dirty everywhere. I don't know how this passes inspection. Cigarette butts everywhere. The pictures they have are nothing like the place. Please don't book it.

This place is awful! Friends were cancelled & ejected from room by hotel w/ no refund or reason. Seems racial profiling was occuring. dirty & needing much repair & treating for mold& insects.

Absolutely disgusting. This is the worst hotel I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen some bad ones over the years. The photos posted online by hotel management are beyond inaccurate. Nothing is clean or sanitary... nothing. I couldn’t describe the actual stay, because upon seeing how gross my room was I decided a wouldn’t (couldn’t) stay here. Management refused to return my money. I’ve filed a complaint with the BBB, but so have many other people. I doubt I’ll see that money again. Save yourself a lot of trouble and do not book here under any circumstances.

I was instructed to park near a huge pile of garbage measuring approx 40’ long 20’ wide and 8’ tall. The room was disgusting. Painted over rusted shower drain and patched shower tile. The sheets were unwashed and or stained. Top floor unit with half the plaster on ceiling gone and more peeling which tells me the roof leaks. Holes in the walls. Security latch on the door broken and could tell it had been broken and moved several times. Cameras in odd places throughout the hotel. The room smelled and looked dirty. I was afraid to even sit down.

This hotel is rated a “D” with the Better Business Bureau. DO NOT MAKE RESERVATIONS AT THIS HOTEL! This hotel is a JOKE! Let me say we understand the policy of no refund for reservations but expect that either health or death in the family should qualify as exceptions. My husband had a sudden medical emergency that forced us to cancel our reservation. I called the hotel and explained but a rude desk clerk claimed that they couldn’t and I had to go through Priceline. Called them and after being on hold was eventually told to contact their “sister” company ***********. My husband was told they would look to getting a refund including the penalties. This went on for a couple of days and finally was told to contact the hotel itself and gave a number and email address. He sent an email to the address and including the Urgent Care facility’s prognosis and a memo saying he couldn’t travel. The number given only had a recording saying that voicemail wasn’t set up. Finally after 4 days *********** announced the owner of the hotel wasn’t giving any refund and the call center there could do nothing. We NEVER heard back from the hotel management by either email or phone and the hotel kept every penny.

Shady business dealings by owner; Stay away! The low ratings are not due to the scary (albeit inexpensive) rooms; it's due to sketchy thievery. guard your wallet and the items in your room! Horrible service from the owner, charged me $60 for 'not checking out' when there was a paperwork mix up in extending our reservation through HotWire. Instead of thanking me for my business and trying to help, the owner was of a dark and negative spirit. Hostile, even. Rude, verbally attacked me, accused me AND MY WIFE. Privately owned, so no recourse. PROS -friendly and helpful staff (when the owner is not around.) -can hear the ocean waves from inside my room SOLUTIONS AND ALTERNATIVES Heavenly experience at Best Western Plus Myrtle Beach @ Intracoastal 9551 N Kings Hwy, Myrtle Beach, SC 29572 actually the same price! gorgeous rooms, clean, lavish breakast, friendly and professional staff... come here!
