La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Myrtle Beach - N Kings Hwy

My son & I stayed for 3 nights. Overall, we enjoyed our stay! It looks like the inside was recently renovated. The bathroom could have been cleaner. My son found a roach on a pillow when we first arrived. Fortunately, I normally bring my own cleaning supplies to clean. We didn't see any more critters while there. There was also a sewer smell. The pipe under the sink was exposed, which I thought was an eyesore! The front desk staff were ok, nothing to rave about. The breakfast was good. I guess you can't expect too much for the price.

I didn’t like I had to pay $5 a night to park, I didn’t see that on ******* anywhere, I’m going to look again. The breakfast should have at least 1 meat!!! Everything else was great.

My stay was good I would have loved to have a balcony. Also, it was really dusty and with the pollen it made it a little difficult for me to be as comfortable as I wanted to be.

We checked in 3/18/24. This hotel was seemingly perfect (and clean!)… until we saw a bed bug crawling in our room (120). When we approached the receptionist with evidence and asked for a cancellation and full refund, we were met with hostility and half answers. When she managed to get the supervisor (Bonnie) on the phone, they laughed at us and accused us of bringing them in ourselves. I have never seen such unprofessional behavior from hotel staff in my life, especially pertaining to such a serious matter. From what I was able to gather while they weren’t gaslighting us and giving vague answers: 1. I was only able to be refunded for two days of my stay. 2. Someone from Wyndham would be coming in the following day of our departure to gather evidence of an infestation, and that would determine if I get the full refund. I never received any indication a case had been opened, and I had to send my own report in to Wyndham’s customer support. Top it all off with the receptionist calling our room at 11:49 to tell us we had to be out by 12 for checkout inspection (she conveniently didn’t tell us this at the front desk), causing us to have to leave behind multiple items we were going to throw away because they were no longer safe to bring home. I received a call from them an hour after we had left to confirm throwing away the items we left behind. I suspect they didn’t file a case at all, “cleaned” the room, and another unsuspecting patron may be staying there as I type this.

Front desk staff was friendly and accommodating but my room was not cleaned well and the room also had an old smell to it.

Very good location as we were unfamiliar with Myrtle Beach and the Inn was located so that all transportation needs were quickly met. The location was well known by all.

We love staying here, the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and go out with f their way to help you out.

I have worked with Bonnie for past two years for our visit to Run for the Sun - She is amazing.....super friendly, accommodated our requests for particular rooms and just an overall super employee of LaQuinta. She should be recognized for great customer service. Looking forward to working with her again in the future!
