Bara Bungalow, Gethia - A Rosakue Collection

Everything about Blue Book is beautiful curated and thoughtfully put together. The staff was particularly kind and helpful. They made sure that each guest felt comfortable and respected privacy wonderfully. It was an absolutely rejuvenating trip due to the efforts of the staff members, cozy architecture and impeccable food at Blue Book. The kitchen staff and chef need a special mention and are absolute backbone of this place due to its distance from the usual Zomato offerings.

It is a resort located before around 10km of Nainital Mall road market so if you want to avoid rush and relax in a quiet place then this is a good destination. We planned for 3 night stay and our room was Turret. They have different rooms all with different concepts. Although I did not got the concept of our room it was nice with white and light blue walls and a big window which opens to their garden area. We reached there around 8 PM and were greeted very well and our luggage was sent to our room. As we checked in I found three issues :- 1) One of their light bulb was not working which was not fixed till the day we checked out which made us to stay in low light condition. 2) The milk powder they kept for tea was expired and when I informed them of same they started arguing that it was not expired as they did not had extra milk pouches. 3) The room was not clean and I saw spider webs on walls. Apart from this their swimming pool was very dirty and even after asking to clean they didn't cleaned it. Coming to good points :- Now coming to their food. Breakfast buffet was good, they had multiple options. Although the food taste was average the quality and variety was there. Their dinner was better but they had very limited options in dinner. We had non-veg both days and the taste was awesome. One good thing they prepared very good infant food and did not even charged for it, might be as a gesture for the earlier issues. Their property is good place to spend 2-3 days, they had a good book collection. All in all a average stay but I would suggest to visit as the staff was good and was trying their best to help us out in anyway possible. We asked for cow milk for our child and they provided fresh milk everyday. Cheers.

We stayed here on 24th July and it was absolutely wonderful! An amazing location… the entire process from booking to checkout was unbelievably smooth. All credit goes to the staff at the resort, who ensured that our stay was wonderful. The room was spotlessly clean, food wonderful and the personalised attention, the icing on the cake.

We received extremely warm hospitality and had amazing food during our stay in July at the gethia property. It’s offbeat location n friendly staff was a plus. The only issue was the water supply coz a village pipeline had broken down due to bridge construction

Had an enjoyable visit at Bara Bungalow. Right from the quaint rooms, good views and good food, it was everything you could wish for. Most of all, the staff was amazing, wonderful, courteous, and made it one to remember!

It was the perfect trip with my friends .. thanks to this beautiful property with its lovely rooms, delicious well planned meals and its outstanding hospitality.. would definitely revisit!! Special mention to the manager Abhishek who made extra efforts to make our trip special.

The hospitality is A1, the property is beautiful & its pet friendly too, a must visit! Stayed in chapter 6 and absolutely loved the interiors. Strongly recommend the riverside high tea & a sit down dinner. Thank you Team Blue Book for truly making it a memorable one.

This is a wonderful property, an old colonial mansion maintained extremely well with some wonderful staff to help you. We opted for a plan that included breakfast and dinner. Since this is not your typical holiday resort, the meals are not buffet, but it's excellent. The property is about 25 km before Nainital. So there are pros and cons depending on your plan. If you want to spent a quiet time away from all the madness, perfect spot. If you want to roam around the tourist destinations, this is little bit far from them. This is a premium property and hence the services such as cabs for pick up & drop and other in-house designed activities are a little costly, if you choose them, which was expected. The good part is that Mr. Abhishek, the manager will give you all the details in advance. Even though he was on paternity leave during our stay, he did support us really well and Mr. Yashpal more than filled in for him. Thanks to all the staff including the chef (forgot his name unfortunately) and Mr. Ashish and Mr. Shrey.

We had an amazing stay at this beautiful charming property. Very classic colonial architecture. The rooms give a cottage feel and have a beautiful view of the valley. Great hospitality and service , we were thoroughly pampered. They made special arrangements of bonfire and seating space based on our request. Food was very yummy and you will find various spots in the property to just chill n relax. Must must visit !!
