What a beautiful little find, Julian and Amber were fantastic hosts, couldn’t do enough to help, the place was immaculate, the garden and pool was a nice place to relax, highly recommended, location was very central and close to all the amenities, couldn’t have found better!

After traveling many hours from the USA via plane, train, and bus, my husband and I enjoyed our first night in Spain at Hostel Lorca. The owners, Amber and Julien, were friendly and helpful. They communicated with us weeks earlier via WhatsApp and answered all questions we had. Upon arriving, they welcomed us with a short tour of the grounds and suggestions for our entertainment. We thoroughly enjoyed the Three Kings festivities, tapas bars, our clean room, a hot shower, and comfy bed. After we checked out, they were kind enough to let us enjoy the pool garden and kept our luggage safe while we shopped until our departure. We would highly recommend staying here!

First, this is presently a budget-friendly hotel. That means you won't find toiletries, a/c, a TV, or a fridge in your room. So if these are essentials for you, then you will want to look elsewhere. The hotel has new owners and they are equipped with a paintbrush and a bunch of integrity. They are working hard to give the place a facelift and to make it warm and cozy. They are friendly, interesting, and very accommodating and let the guests use the kitchen. The hotel is very clean and bright, and the bed was very comfy, too. I chose it for its proximity to the bus station and for the little garden with a plunge pool. I recommend it and would stay again.

The Hosts (Julien and Amber) are the best! So warm and welcoming. Julien even tried to flag us down as we drove by the Hostal while we were trying to locate the Hostal and parking. Once situated, our room was clean, quiet, and had access to the outdoors. The community space on the first floor with access to the back private deck and pool was delightful. When return, we know that we'll be staying at the Hostal Lorca.

Amber and Julian host this gorgeous homely hostal in Nerja, and their decades of experience across the world in hospitality is evident as soon as Amber welcomes you to both the hostal and the village. We were given insider tips on great cheap eats, a comfortable bed and ensuit, and a welcome pad to land after weeks of travel. It is our misfortune we couldn't have stayed longer. Thank you Amber & Julian!

This was one of the best hostels I’ve stayed! Had such an amazing location close to everything you’d want to see as well as a very safe location. The owners made sure to make the guests feel very welcome and comfortable. They also accommodated very well and helped us with anything we needed! Highly recommend!!!

This Hostel is a gem. A beautiful tranquil place with lovely rooms. The pool area and the open kitchen and sitting area is perfect for afternoon relaxing. The Hostel is quiet but yet two minutes walk to all the bars restaurants, vibrant tap scene. Super market is right there. It’s a beautiful neighbourhood alley walk to the balcon. The owners, Julien and Amber are very welcoming and helpful. Take their advice for best restaurants, local knowledges and places to visit. It was an excellent stay. Lovely place, lovely owners

Just spent a week with my family and it was amazing! Little charming hotel where you feel like home. Ambre and Julien are wonderful hosts and will treat you like family. Location is perfect, hôtel has a small pool and an outdoor terrace and the lobby is more like an open bar/kitchen where you can make yourself at home and enjoy what ever you wish to bring at anytime of the day. Will definitely recommend this place.

Just returned home from a working trip staying at this Hostal. The owners Julien and Amber made us very welcome from arrival, offering us advise on surroundings and even joining us for a meal out one evening! Hostal was very clean, shower always hot we enjoyed our time very much! Would definitely return!
