Sol Luna Bay All Inclusive

ANT INFESTATION - bitten to f*ck Exposed wires- sheets resting on wires. Total fire hazard. We’ve had to cut our holiday short; I’ve had to pay to get a flight for us both tomorrow. The holiday started off great. As time has gone on it’s got worse. Unable to do excursions in the booklet, as they are not offered from this hotel but are in the brochure? The prices changed then what’s on the price-list from the rep, who later advised it was not up to date? We’ve been confined to our room practically especially when the cleaners are about as we’ve heard from guests that things have been stolen from their room. So we’ve not been having our room cleaned and can’t leave till we tell the cleaners, that we would not like our room to be cleaned. Then we can leave. The accommodation and amenities were substandard. The shower leaks heavily and seeps out into the foyer of the room. Having to clean it up after using the shower. Tried having showers in a number of ways. Even backs against the wall. A massive slip hazard (both nearly fell on multiple occasions). There are birds nests on the balcony with bird mess. The chicks are constantly chirping and birds coasting around the balcony, to get to the nests. Aircon not getting to temperature. The behaviour of the guests sipping soup off the ladle before putting it back in the vat (my child noticed it, which now I couldn’t get him in there even if I tried) Flies in ice cubes and around food. Food very much the same for lunch and dinner. No kids choices, so my son is hungry. Had to take him to the local town to eat. No hotel entertainment, having asked staff they just point us to the lobby bar. It’s been so boring. I’ve been here since Friday it’s now Monday. It’s cost me a fair bit to be here but now we’re leaving early. I would like a partial refund, hopefully including the money back for the flights I’ve had to pay for to get home. I’m absolutely distraught to be honest. I’ve attached pictures for reference. Please note I had to mop up the water as it was a slipping hazard for my son. But you can see some water that has seeped into the foyer of the room.

We’ve come back from a lovely 10 day break and truly enjoyed our stay. The rooms are very comfortable and are cleaned daily. The kids enjoyed the WI-FI which is great for watching movies etc. The food is varied, my only criticism is it is a bit chaotic in the food hall, and sometimes you find yourself queuing in the wrong line for an item of food, for example I spent ten minutes waiting for bacon, but it turned out the line was for pancakes. You need to be aware if you book either the Italian or Bulgarian restaurant, it’s still a buffet based set up, but the food was delicious. I highly recommend the Bulgarian, very tasty. The pool was great and we saw it been cleaned every morning. The only criticism is that of the guests reserving sun loungers in the early morning with towels, and some guests wouldn’t use their loungers for hours, so maybe if the hotel could ban use of personal towels on loungers and only allow the hotel towels to be use pool side, then loungers could only be made available 9am onwards. The beach is beautiful and the staff work so hard keeping it clean, brushing sand of the boardwalk and in the evening they clean the loungers and even seem to have a big machine that sucks up any rubbish in the sand. The bar areas are well stocked and provide lovely cocktails, which aren’t the watered down type you find at other resorts, and there are snacks available throughout the day. We enjoyed the panini at the snack bar on a daily basis. When we arrived at the hotel at 0300am, the receptionist was wonderful and made us feel very welcome and made sure we knew that there was a buffet in the restaurant we could use if we wanted to eat before we went to bed. That was lovely. The hotel is very clean and we witnessed the attention to detail that the cleaners put in. On the main corridor of the hotel, by the shops, we saw the cleaners wiping glass top tables and then ensuring there were no streaks on the glass. We want to thank everyone at the hotel for a truly fantastic holiday and highly recommend going here.

We booked a last minute holiday at this hotel and we had an excellent time. The food was good with a variety of selection. Room was big and very clean with beautiful sea view. Beach is clean with plenty of comfortable sun beds. Staff very friendly. I would recommend private transfer from the airport. All in all a very relaxing holiday. Thank you all from Sol Luna.

The team of animators is the heart of the hotel. I am surprised their activities were not promoted by the hotel more. We had a great time thanks to them. When we booked the stay, we didn't actually know that there is so much happening during the day and the evening. Technically, we didn't need to leave the resort because of the animators and the events they organized.

Nice hotel, but MILES from anywhere, one restaurant was closed, the cafe was closed, the water park was closed for all bar the last day and the pool was freezing. Buffet was nice, staff were nice, but you should check carefully in advance to see if amenities are open. Also, all the nearby hotels are for guests only and there is NOTHING in the local town which is over a mile's walk away Not happy

It was a nice hotel with nice clean rooms. You could choose from variety of dishes. The see was very clean. The beach was fine as well but there were sandflies and mosquitoes. There was only DCC exchange rate in the exchange office in the hotel using your card.

A lovely holiday - late September is a great time of the year to go as it is a lot quieter. The hotel was spotless, even the refuse man on the beach washed the bins inside and out.. The hotel is in a fabulous location about a 20 minute walk along the beach from the town of Obzor. The hotel lays on a minibus to Obzor hourly with the last bus at 22:30 ish. The room we were in was on the 3rd floor overlooking the beach. A spacious room with ample storage space for clothing. Room safe costs about £20 for 2 weeks. Well worth the peace of mind. Only strange thing was that the hotel fill the fridge with random drinks and chocs but you have to pay for them. All the staff were very polite and helpful. The resturant supplied a good range of different foods, loved the salad bar. Serve yourself wine, beer and soft drinks. As it was end of season the night entertainment was lacking in quality somewhat but entertaining non the less. Outdoor pool was very clean and refreshing, good for a bit of exercise. Could have done with less of the Loud Booming "music?" at poolside though. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I can imagine this area to be absolutely rammed with folk during the season. We would come back again early May or late September.... NOTE to HOTEL - Get rid of the drinks etc in the room fridge. Having to pay for drinks and snacks in an All Inclusive does not work well. Just supply a bottle of FREE water. Everything else is really good. NOTE to prospective CLIENTS - Pay for room safe - Take your own tea bags - Expect to be queuing in peak season - Use the Mini bus service to Obzor for a bit of shopping - Have a meal or two out in the evening in Obzor - Visit Nessabar, but dont eat there.. We found it very disappointing and expensive - Get some Levs (Bulgarian currency) before you go - NOW Relax and Enjoy ..

The hotel was a lovely place to stay very quiet rooms cleaned every day food ok and animation crew very friendly especially bobby and fun we spent 2 weeks there from 8th Sept Beach right there sea lovely and warm activities all fun Negatives going this time of year some of restaurants closed pool bar shut early and jazz bar and beach party finished which I thought was a bit unfair as did not get full experience we were at end of season but felt like they wanted rid of us and didn't give all the hotel could offer even though we had paid our money The sun beds kept getting less and less half the restaurant was closed so less choice of food and water park closed very disappointing think the hotel would run everything till end of season We were booked for somewhere else but had to change due to a flood in our original hotel at last minute Overall good hols but could of been better if they had not shut things down My opinion is keep going to your season finishes management give everything you offer not say we end of season close bits

I WANT TO SAY A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL THE STAFF AT SOL LUNA BAY RESORT. Everything was amazing. The hotel is very clean, nice and makes you feel like you are in a fairy tale. The food is impeccable. A variety of tastes and preferences. The staff is friendly and responsive. We are extremely satisfied with absolutely everything and have no complaints! I highly recommend it and will be back again!
