Historic Streetcar Inn

This is not a typical hotel with a front desk. They have a person on-site limited hours. Someone is available via phone 24/7. Great location! It is in the Lower Garden District - about 20-25 minutes walking to the French Quarter. The St Charles streetcar runs directly in front of the building. This is a very walkable area - you can walk to the French Quarter, CBD, Garden District, Magazine Street, Warehouse District etc. easily. It is on the Uptown parade route, so it is great - you can check a parade tracking app & walk out a few minutes ahead, They don't provide daily room cleaning but have a room downstairs stocked with towels and toiletries. They also have a coffee maker and refrigerator available in the same room. There is a small refrigerator in the room. My only complaint - I would have liked a coffee maker in the room. Room was spacious and clean. Bathroom was spacious. There are some food places close by and a Walgreens a few blocks away. I really enjoyed everything & will plan to stay here again

Check in hard for older, non-computer people like me. They wrote that it’s been made easier. Hard with no human to talk to.

Location is very good as it is beside the street car line. It’s walkable to some nice cafes and restaurants and looks relatively safe. Room is spacious and clean. Furnishing is okay but looks aged. There’s only one person at front desk and she’s not there after hours during the night. Window is not double paned and noise from street traffic can be heard. My experience was made more unpleasant by the noise of water dripping from an upstairs a/c unit throughout the night.

Great experience at this hotel. Perfect location to get around NOLA, comfy room and helpful staff!

We only stayed 1 night but our host was great! They were very helpful and considerate.

The Historic Streetcar Inn is a perfect place to stay that is easy to get to the CBD and French Quarter! It is also very quiet and the beds are comfy. Zoe is fantastic and very quick to respond to calls/texts! This was our second stay and we will absolutely stay again!

The property was nice...However...the price was very steep for a limited amount of amenities

We only had one washcloth for two people. The light was out on our porch. The Roku remote did not work and was not properly programmed to the TV with new batteries installed into it. The bed is a full size not a queen. The room felt very humid with the window unit blasting. The fire alarm flashes right above your head in the bed. Staff seem very nice but they are not on site.

There was an issue with the keyless doors. They took care of it right away but the locksmiths they employed were pounding/drilling at 3am working on the doors and yelling from one floor to the other right outside my room. It was a tough situation for sure. I get things happen, but they obviously had no consideration for sleeping guests. Aside from that, the staff was friendly and the inn was quite lovely. My bed was soft and the shower felt great. The pizza joint next door was yummy. I was warned by a police officer that I needed to take care as there is a transient population in the area and armed muggings were common. That was worrisome.
