Hotel Five44

I will be honest, I booked this hotel (through ***********) purely based on price and location. I couldn't believe that I could get a room for 3 adults for 4 nights so close to Times' Square in the 2 weeks before xmas for under £600. I thought it might be too good to be true and right up until we booked in, was worried they would want more money, not recognise the booking or cancel on us but I was pleasantly surprised. First off, the location is superb - just far enough out of Times Square to be able to relax because Times Square is chaos, but still within 15-20 minute walk. The area felt totally safe walking back at 11pm each night with my wife and daughter. On arrival we were met by Michele who was very welcoming and friendly. Check in was easy and he carried one of our cases upstairs for us. There's no lift, their website says that and we knew that but 2 flights is hardly difficult. The room was always very warm, so much so we had the windows open or air con turned on once we'd warmed up from our day out. The beds were very, very comfortable. I suffer with a bad back and as we each walked over 90,000 steps in 3 days I needed a form mattress, so I slept like a baby every night - again, the location is quieter than being on times Square itself. Overall, we were very pleased, basic but fantastic price and the location and friendly welcome and au_revoir made it all the more comfortable. Planning to go back again in 3 years time and just hoping this little gem is still around when we do as we will definitely use it again. It's a very small hotel so you get personal attention, Michele had a room there and said we could knock on his door any time if we needed anything but thankfully we didn't. On our last day, checkout was at 11 but Michele let us leave our cases securely until 4pm so we could enjoy the whole day. Please note, this isn't a posh hotel, and it is priced for what it offers. The rooms are basic, the TV didn't work but we had a kitchenette with fridge, ovens and coffee maker and shower. The room was always very warm

A group of 10 of us booked in for 3 nights commencing Monday evening. Rooms, the bar and eating area were comfortable and the staff were very helpful. However when it came to the menu many of the choices were unavailable much to the embarrassment of the waiter. Added to which there was no chef!! Breakfast was no better, no eggs and other ingredients in short supply. On Tuesday they had a delivery however Wednesdays evening meal many of the menu choices were not available again. Five of the group decided to have fish and chips, we waited an hour and fifteen minutes to be served. Breakfast on the final morning had shortages again despite Tuesdays delivery. It is worth pointing out there were very few people eating both at breakfast and evenings. The staff were very apologetic but where was the manager!! This is a Mitchell & Butler Hotel, someone from head office needs to get a grip.

Me and my family were staying frim 15th July to 21th July. The welcoming was really profesional made by Silvana, the person on duty. I thunk she is the most big value of this business, profesional, helpfully and always with a smile... THANK YOU!!!!. our room was very clean, and when we nedded empty the trash, change the towel or fix the air dryer, everything was done very quick. There are no lift, but we knew!!!, its in descrption , i dob,t understand why people complain something that appears in the website. The situation was perfect, it takes no more than 10´to Time Square. My family and me will repeat if one day we going back to NEW YORK!!! ;)

Stayed here for 5 nights ,had a marvellous time.The Hotel is in a nice location and convenient location too. Had a lovely large double room with a kitchenette and large Bathroom,there’s Westfield Market Place in 10th Ave for everything you need and it’s open 24 hours.The staff at the hotel were amazing and very helpful too in my last day they even let me leave my luggage there in a cupboard till I left for the airport…Highly recommended and yes I’d stay again…can’t wait to go back

HOTEL bien situé à 10 minutes de Time square, il y’a des petits commerces et beaucoup de choix de restaurants à côté ! Nous avons été très content de notre séjour dans cette hôtel, les chambres sont spacieuse et propre, nous avons eu notre petite chambre à NY

Toute était parfait, emplacement calme à 2 pas de times square, l'hôte Michel est à disposition des clients. Kitchenette très bien équipée. Excellent rapport qualité/prix, imbattable au cœur de Manhattan.

A 12 minutos caminando de Times Square (algo a considerar al estar todo el dia caminando o andando en trenes) . No hay elevador, y hay 4 pisos en escaleras . Basta con decir que me tocó en el 4to piso, con todo el equipaje, compras y cansancio de andar todo el dia de paseo en la ciudad. No hay nadie en el counter de servicio en ningun momento, si necesitas algo solo dejalo escrito en una libreta q tienen una mesa, en algun momento alguien lo leera. Limpieza muy poca. Tuve q pedir toallas ya que por iniciativa de ellos, no la cambian. Para cerrar con broche de oro, la primera noche tuve la visita de un ratoncito curioso en el zafacón de la cocina. Jamas lo volvi a ver, entiendo ellos tienen conocimiento ya q debajo de la nevera tienen trampas para ratones.

Hotel muy centrico, a 10 min a pie de Times Square.Esta situado en barrio tranquilo, lejos del bullicio, por lo que permite muy buen descanso. Habitacion perfecta, para un pareja,con cocina un buen baño y armario. El personal del hotel fue muy amable y atento. Volveria en mi siguiente visita a New York.

El cuarto bien arreglado y t : estufa, nevera, microondas . Baño en buenas condiciones y aire acondicionado. Además es muy céntrico para ir a cualquier parte de Manhattan. La persona a cargo es bien atenta.
