Cute hotel, great staff!

Check in was easy, but our room was not nice at all. I do not understand how this hotel is marked as five star because it had three star standards. The first room we were placed in was the handicap accessible room, even though we booked the Classic Queen. The rug was torn up and dirty, the bathroom was oddly arranged, the room was extremely small where you can only sit on your bed. There were no drawers to place your clothes, and there seemed to be a fridge at some point but was taken out. I called the front desk if there was supposed to be a fridge and they rudely said "no" and hung up. The pillows were horrible - flat, no support at all. I had to use two or three pillows to support my head and neck at night. We woke up the first morning and the room was so hot. We came to find out our HVAC was not working. We called down and we were able to change rooms. The second room was nicer and surprise surprise there was a fridge! We were under the impression that all the rooms did not have fridges since our first one did not have one. So yes, they put us in a subpar room purposefully because maybe we booked through a third party? Either way, do not stay at this hotel if you're expecting "five star." The only plus was location - close to the Canal St subway station. Will not stay there again, and definitely do not recommend.

The hotel was OK. The bed was hard and the room was cold. I also wanted to warm up my food that I bought, but they didn’t have a microwave anywhere in the hotel. They sent me to 7-Eleven, which was about five minutes away from the hotel. Which I thought was ridiculous. It’s OK if there is no microwave in the room that’s fine but how you don’t have a microwave in the whole property for your guest.

The staff is all very nice. The photos are a bit deceiving. I thought there was a rooftop area open to guests, but that is a private rental event space only. I was also under the impression there was a bar. There is no longer a bar. It has been turned into a small coffee area arhat is only open in the morning. The “gym” photo appears to have an open window with a view. The gym is dark, tiny, and in the basement that smells like sewer AndThe restaurant “kitchen” does have a bar but it closes early. We tried to eat there at 3pm, however they close every day from 3-5pm (as do many restaurants in the soho area). There was free coffee and tea available in the mornings by the check in desk. There are small friges available, but are not standard in the room when you arrive. They are as requested (there are not enough for everyone). The beds are super comfy. It was BRIGHT in the morning-of course due to the side we were on. Black out drapes would have been a nice option. Overall I would stay there again, but not sure the high price tag is worth it.

The view was incredible for the 17th floor you can see all of NYC. It was a gorgeous entranceway and everyone was so kind. Kudos to the bell hop Donny- he is very customer freindly

I have stayed at this hotel several times, and was disappointed in this last trip. For starters, the keycards on the doors do not work causing you to repeatedly have issues. When we told this to reception, they told us it was a common issue, and they are swapping them out for key fobs, but this was a little help to us while we were staying there. The lobby and the restaurant of this hotel are beautiful and the reason that we stay there, but the room was not clean (old food by bed) and inadequate in supplies. Very few towels, no coffee maker, no glasses from water. It was a disappointment.

Rooms were very basic and hotel was noisy, no fridge or coffee facilities, not great value for money when you are spending a lot of money on a hotel room. Great location and view, and comfy bed ideal for a short stay and staff were very helpful. Cleaning service was great. Restaurant was nice, breakfast was tasty. Disappointed that on our last day they wouldn’t let us in for a drink while we waited for our taxi to airport.
