Geckos Rest

Beautiful hotel friendly and helpful owners, breakfast is absolutely great with the choices. Definitely would recommend in fact we are looking to go back next year and exploring more of the surrounding places, when you go into town people are so friendly

The room was gorgeous, exactly as in the pictures, with huge windows, making it possible to see the sea, the sunset and the sunrise.But more than that, everything was impeccably clean. The bathroom with the light in the mirror made shaving or makeup much easier.And everything thought out in detail. What you can have for breakfast, phone numbers for taxi, hospital, doctor.Breakfast again perfect .Tables ready arranged for guests with sparkling clean plates and believe me they didn't save effort. Plate for toast plate for breakfast plate with butter or margarine teapot Get everything you want to eat. John really took care of us.And I can continue... you need an umbrella, you can borrow it in the hotel.Maybe you want to spend the evening in the hotel .. you can find a lot of books, games, movies .. and again the possibility to have coffee, tea, water, chocolate.... Amy and John made an effort not only materially but also spiritually to create a perfect and welcoming place for their guests.I thank them from the bottom of my heart for this. As a couple we felt great there. And for me, Amy and John are a good example to follow... quality people investing in work and ideas.The price is very honest. Thank you John and Amy!

Hosts were delightful, extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Room was very clean and comfortable with lovely bed linen & pillows. Fans provided for the warm evenings. View from the property overlooking the ocean & 5 minute walk to town. Breakfast choices were great & loved the caricature salt & pepper cellars on the dining tables; a great talking point. Chatting with guests from different parts of the world added to the charm of the stay.

This is our second year staying at Gecko's Rest, and we love it! The hotel is perfectly placed for easy access to the town centre and easily walkable from/to Crantock Beach. The rooms are clean, tidy and super comfy, and the breakfasts are delicious. John and Amy are so lovely and made us feel really welcome - we'll definitely be back next year, for sure! :)

Excellent location for the town centre, approximately a 2 minute walk. The whole of the residence was spotlessly clean. The bed, pillows and quilt were perfect, we slept so well. Their breakfast was plentiful and cooked well, we were offered more if wanted. They had an honesty fridge with milk which is very handy if anyone runs out, great idea. Amy and John were perfect hosts, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Would happily stay again if visiting Newquay.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gekos Rest. Lovely property, superbly maintained and the service was amazing. Fantastic breakfast with plenty of choice. Great views from our room and Gokos Rest is ideally located. We shall definitely be staying here again!
