It is closer to bromo, so it will be cheaper to rent a jeep along this route. The room facilities are relatively old. It may have been a relatively large resort in the past, and the rooms at the back were abandoned. But we just rested for a few hours, had hot water, and used the toiletries we brought with us, which was enough. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and only cost more than 30 yuan.

We stayed at Istana Petani Homestay to visit Bromo. The homestay is simple but clean. They also provide meals. We had dinner, and it was Indonesian food, quite good. They can also arrange airport pick-up and drop-off for you and organize the Bromo excursion. They were very friendly and made your life very easy, and the prices are very reasonable. If you feel like taking a walk around, the views are spectacular.

The house has a sense of history and the facilities are a bit old. Overall, the first night's experience was very good. Maybe it was because I arrived very late, it was like seeing a castle in a dream. And got up to see the volcano without sleeping for a few hours. There are Muslim chanters outside at night, which I personally like, and it adds to the overall atmosphere of the building.
However, I made a temporary reservation on the second night and changed to a more expensive standard deluxe room. This night was very bad. First of all, the room is large and the roof is very high, which means the temperature is very low. The quilt is very thin and there is no air conditioning. The blanket is small and pitiful. And facing the street, the sound of motorcycles on the mountain road outside (local residents use motorcycles as their main means of transportation) can be heard one after another one night.
The second thing I want to complain about is their buffet breakfast. It is the worst breakfast I have ever eaten in a hotel where the room rate is 2,000 yuan a night. And the flies keep coming, I don’t know why they don’t take measures.
It is not recommended to go to their SPA. I had a temporary change of schedule and had half a day to spare. Also, because I had to drive late at night the day before, I went out to climb a volcano at 2 a.m. My body couldn't bear it anymore, so I made an appointment at the SPA. The word cold, from beginning to end, cold has been running through my feelings. The press is very average. It is estimated that the store owner did not expect this spa to become the main decoration. As a result, I stepped in😅
But I have to say, the scenery is beautiful. Those who love to see the scenery and ignore the temperature can experience it. (Photos will be posted later)

1. Rooms are worn down and filthy. Neither blankets nor towels not clean. This place benefits from its location but the existing rooms are in dire need of renovations. And then they still would need to be kept clean. 2. Food was not good. Everyone of our group (2 tourists plus 2 Indonesians photographers) were sick here. Table cloth seems to not have been changed in weeks - if the kitchen is as “clean” no wonder we all got sick. 3. No coffee during the whole morning. During breakfast there is a big alu can with “coffee” written on for self-service. Don’t be fooled: that is no coffee; it is essentially slightly warm brown water. There is a real machine standing on the counter - but it cannot apparently not be used prior to 11 o’clock. Seriously, why? 4. Wifi hotspot exists in the parking lot but is totally unreliable.

A hotel where Pang Yue went to the volcano to stay at is cheap, clean and sanitary. The key is that the service is good. The boss is very patient to show you the map to teach you the itinerary to the volcano. For the sightseeing group, when I went in the off-season, there were two people per car, and the price was very cheap for each person, instead of sharing the charter car per person. I was very conscientious after driving the mountain road for so long. Anyway, I have to get up after midnight. It is very cost-effective to live temporarily. After watching the volcano, I will prepare a simple breakfast to cushion my stomach. It's okay to come to Pang Yue to live here. It’s not far to take a taxi to the station. It should be noted that you need to arrive at the station ten minutes in advance, otherwise you will not be able to buy a ticket.

Positive points : - Location - Good breakfast, with a pleasant terrace in the sun after climbing the Bromo. Negative points: - Absolutely no soundproofing in rooms. Our neighbors had a baby who spent the night crying and it was as if he was in our room! - No heating even though the nights are very cool. - Unpleasant smell in the bathroom - Cleanliness to be reviewed... (stains on sheets, bathroom not so good...) - Dinner a bit expensive and not very good for the price either =＞ in conclusion, paying more than 120€ a night is extremely expensive ... besides, the staff - although pleasant all the same - don't ask if we've had a good stay, I imagine they must suspect it. If we'd known, we'd probably have gone to a ”standard” hotel and I don't think it would have been any worse!

We stayed in the hotel for two nights to visit the Bromo. The tour itself was worth it, but we should have left after the first night. The hotel is extremely noisy. Not only because you can hear the rooms next to you and the people waking up at different times to go to the Bromo making noise in the hallway, but also because of the mosque and the AC sounded like a WW II airplane outside of our balcony. Also, there is literally nothing to do for tourists in Probolinggo. We did not feel comfortable walking around in the streets. We asked the hotel for recommendations but did not get any useful answer. The staff does barely speak any English, on simple questions like what there is to do in the neighbourhood or how long the drive is to the airport they don't have a clear answer. The reception seemed a bit of a mess. Good thing was that because of the bromo tour and our early flight the next day we did not have time for breakfast and they made a breakfast package for us to bring. Also, the food and the staff in their restaurant was nice and the shower was fine (temperature/pressure), room seemed clean but no locker available unfortunately (only in their ”presidential” / executive suite).
