The Red Coat

Close to the Brock monument and vista lookout over the Niagara River, many local wineries, short drive to town, comfortable bed, excellent breakfast and amiable hostess/owner.

As Shaw festival attendee's, we have always stayed in the heart of NOTL, but were happy to discover The Red Coat. The scenic drive up the Niagara parkway made door to box office trips in 12 to 18 minutes. And it is stress-free travel. Moreover, we did things that we never had done before in our many, many trips to Niagara on the lake. The Niagara Parks botanical gardens are nearby and the Canadian side of the falls is just up the road. There is a splendid butterfly garden and massive historic floral clock nearby as well. A very close Marina launches jet boats that go up the Niagara River. But the Inn and it's owners are the real stars. Super accommodations in an historic home with fabulous breakfasts. We were fortunate to choose a room that provided a huge covered balcony / veranda that was the width of the house. So whether you are doing winery tours, theater at the Shaw, history of the area, or just going to a pick your own orchard, the red coat is a great choice.

I can't say enough good things about my stay. The bed was the most comfortable I've ever slept in outside of my own. The hostess made me a wonderful breakfast with sugar-free jam (I'm diabetic) and a baked apple. Great coffee! I was there for a printing tutorial, and when I came back she asked how it went and we had a lovely conversation. She gave me a good restaurant recommendation and sent me on my way home with muffins! I will be visiting Queenston again, and I'll definitely book the Red Coat!

Absolutely lovely home with beautiful rooms. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming and the breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be back!

This is a lovely B&B, in a house built in 1901! Our room was spacious and beautiful. We loved the balcony. And the breakfast was very delicious. Great location also, close to everything but on a very quiet street.

Sandra was a perfect host and a great cook. She was accommodating to various dietary concerns and made delicious breakfasts. The house was very clean, comfortable and it was on a nice quiet street, not very far from the NOTL town centre.

Owners were delightful and very accommodating. Breakfasts were scrumptious. We stayed in the Brock suite which was spacious and quite comfortable. There was a covered balcony. Property is beautiful with perfect proximity between Old Town and Niagra Falls.

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful century home. Sandra was a very gracious host.

Great experience all around. The place is great, spot is great 15 min from Niagara falls and 15 minutes from Niagara on the lake. Last but not least Sandra is great.. Her hospitality and breakfast is very memorable.
