When we checked in, the hotel couldn’t accommodate us. They took our reservation, but they couldn’t HOLD the reservation, which is the most important part of the reservation, the HOLDING. The front desk said that they emailed us of the change, but that was 20 minutes prior to check-in. It would have been better if we got a little more notice. They sent us 12 minutes down the road to another hotel that was much worse. To make matters worse, we were charged for both stays. I called them to notify of the double charge, and I was told that within 2-4 business days, the stay at Courtyard will be taken off. It’s been a week, and the charge is still on my account so it looks like I’ll need to call back again. What a pain in the ass. Courtyard by Marriott just went way down in my book.
