A wonderful place!!! Relaxing, charming, peaceful. Staff are wonderful, always helping, lead by Saman and Dassi and all the rest. We have also very much enjoyed the outdoor pool, the the game room, Billiards bedmingtono, We will come again

Fabulous retreat in the midst of a tea plantation. Very peaceful with gorgeous views. The rooms are large and welcoming. The Sri Lankan breakfast was particularly good. The staff is delightful and Saman was an outstanding host. Loved the trip to the tea factory.

We had a wonderful stay for Christmas at Lavendar House. The property is beautiful with an incredible view from the pool - and the staff were amazingly attentive. They even arranged for “Santa” to come by on the 24th December when they realised we were leaving too early on 25th to meet him. They were also hugely flexible allowing us to enjoy high tea on an incredible terrace and a hot stone cooking dinner in a beautiful old English dining room. Saman, Thisara and chef Shantha were wonderful. Thank you!!

Luxury stay with best service you can find. The food was delicious and Hasan is ready to take you for a bush walk in the tea fields. Amazing building and facility in the hotel. The swimming pool was with nice view but couldn’t swim due to raining weather.

Absolutely breathtaking views and truly 5-star experience. Thank you to Saman and Hashan and the rest of the team for making our stay so pleasurable. The pool and location are out of this world, and the staff is there to elevate your stay to the next level. Thank you so much, we will be back!

We really enjoyed our stay. The view is amazing, the room is excellent, the staff is ready to fulfill our every whim. Special thanks to manager Saman. We will definitely return to this stunning place next time we are in Sri Lanka and gonna advise our friends to visit this place.

Wow I really dont know where to begin! The place is truly breathtaking, the staff are unbelievable. I stay in Sri Lanka every year with work and I have to say I was concerned I would not have wifi and be able to relax enough to catch up with vital business. Proved wrong on every level. The staff also upgraded me as they needed to do some small repairs on my room so I ended up in the new 3 bed cottage, massive, spotless and amazing for anyone. The food is one of the best I have ever tasted, the presentation is something else and the way the chef uses local produce and herbs is on another level. Saman and his team really deserve praise for the way they manage the property, deal with guests and go out of the way to accommodate you. We had an amazing evening of hot plate cooking and it was such good fun. Of course I cant go without mentioning Hashan who was assigned to us, this man is the most attentive, kindest and professional hotel staff member I have ever met! I travel all over the world and I can truly say this is the only place I would return to. Anyone should consider their wedding here, truly would be spectacular. See you in January 2026!

The Lavender House was a fabulous place to stay set in amongst a tea plantation. It's a renovated colonial planters bungalow, and the rooms are very spacious and comfortable. Very quiet, very secluded with amazing views and gardens! Mr. Saman and his team were fantastic and provided very attentive personal service catering to any requests. The food was very good, with a varied menu perfect for extended stays. The access road is a bit bumpy, but well worth it for the views and quiet and they can arrange a tuk tuk if required. Definitely stay.

We enjoyed a fabulous stay at the Lavender House. We had the entire place to ourselves and were upgraded to the main suite. This was a beautiful room with views across the garden and valley. Saman and his team looked after our every request and served us with attention and thoughtfulness. Saman booked several day trips and came with us to ensure we got the best from the experience. The breakfasts and dinners were excellent and we loved the chef guiding us through the hot stone cooking dinner. The grounds are immaculate and pool was very clean. Overall this is a great location for the highland tea plantation area and can’t recommend the Lavender House highly enough.
