At first glance this hotel seems a rather ridiculous place for travellers to stay (no one speaks anything but Spanish, there's not much design invested, everything seems beige in colour and character), but I must say it's a great find! Our room was spacious, clean, the bed good, air-con, hot water, ground floor, around a small courtyard within a secure entrance. In that courtyard we could use the tables and chairs, the fridge, cups and plates and flatware, there was both drinking water and hot water. The location is super-convenient - across the road from the Jatlatco neighborhood, and a few minutes walk from the edge of the centro historico. Within a 2-block radius there are grocery stores, bakeries, little restaurants, pharmacies. In 12-13 minutes, past lots of interesting sites and buildings, we were at the zocalo. For a 2-star hotel, that's a tremendous lot of plusses!

Casa Gubidxa was an amazing place to stay. We showed up before check in and they watched our stuff and event let us check in a few minutes early. Everything was freshly cleaned, the room was nice, the price was quite reasonable, and the patio was great for relaxing. Our favorite part was the staff though as they were very kind and gave us great recommendations. We would definitely recommend staying here!

I spent 2 full weeks there. Very clean, and friendly cleaning staff. However, I didn't sleep. At night, the blaring security alarms and barking dog from a shop next door. During the day, the obnoxiously loud property owner was conducting business from a table, where guests as myself were unable to enjoy a quiet cup of coffee.
I mentioned it to him and his son, but to no avail.
This shows a complete lack of manners, respect, education and pure common sense.
I would NEVER, NEVER recommend that place to anyone.

Instalaciones muy comodas, una terraza increible para trabajar, leer o tomar una bebida. Algo que me parecio muy funcional es que en la misma casa puedes rentar autos.
