Stayed here for Day of Dead with Road Scholar Hotel is cute and staff very helpful and friendly. But, the rooms are ridiculously dark Bring a travel lamp. The hand towels are hard and crusty ans stained. All steps to get up and down Nice patio. Not really close to center of everything about up to a 2 mile walk. Parade not to far from Hotel cause they pass by on way to downtown. Loss of restaurants nearby. Hotel food good. Breakfast buffet limited. Fruit eggs some kind of bread. Limited without meat options. Clean. Room blankets old. Need to update towels and blankets. Coffee in room. Water in room. Room service- yes.. This would be a budget hotel. Nice little patio to center, No real view. Great if you are on a budget and like to hike to downtown.

I visited this hotel as a tour leader with a group of 16 pax, october 2024. The hotel is very well located as we walked from downtown to the hotel. It is a quaint and charming hotel. The rooms are clean, large with comfortable beds. Breakfast was not a buffet, ‘a la carte’, very basic, not generous at all. The waiter was even impolite and stingy with the guests. Choices were limited: Eggs or pancakes and if a guest asked for an extra egg it was refused. If a guest asked for a little more fruit, it was refused… The management of the restaurant should consider being more generous with the guests at the breakfast.

My wife and I together with friends stayed here recently. We enthusiastically recommend this hotel! Great location, quiet, very friendly and helpful staff with a pretty decent restaurant as well. Great breakfast, including fresh fruit. My only complaint was that the beds are quite hard, although others may well find this OK.

The restaurant in this hotel is a quiet getaway from some of the busiest places in the historic center of Oaxaca. The meal we had was excellent, the staff courteous and attentive, and the prices affordable. Located near some busier neighborhoods, we found the ambience just what we needed before heading back to a nearby hotel.

We stayed here for two weeks. On the plus side, the location is away from the main fray, yet stilll near enough to be convenient. There is a lovely little park in front of the hotel, a small grocery store around the corner, a laundry within a block, and walking distance to literally dozens of restaurants, including one in the lobby. The staff were quite friendly and helpful. One the minus side, the rooms are dark—I had to borrow a reading lamp in order to be able to see in order to read in the room. The TV was the size of a computer laptop, but it was rarely utilized. The bathroom could use an update. Overall, a nice stay, but could’ve been better.

Quaint old building converted into a hotel. Central location. 10-minute taxi to the markets. Walking distance to restaurants. Poor air conditioning, and no fridge in the room. Nice open-air restaurant & bar. The service was good.

This well run hotel is located just a few blocks outside busy areas of Oaxaca. It is just a few blocks to popular restaurants and the Zocalo. The rooms were nicely laid out and quiet. There is a roof terrace overlooking the lovely park across the street. An open area alongside the sink is ample area for a suitcase and hanging clothes. Filtered water is provided. The bar and breakfast area is outside, but covered. Staff is efficient and friendly. I enjoyed the changing items on the breakfast buffet. The shower is not spacious but more than adequate. This is a great choice for staying in this lovely city.

This hotel is opposite a small park in a quiet part of town but within easy walking distance from everything. Since the rooms do not face the road, they are nice and quiet. Everything is very clean and the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. I did not try the food, but I had a couple of cocktails, which were excellent.

Hotel is good located but thats it!! It is very old the rooms are terrible!!! Wooden beds Blankets in the bed computer screen for TV and the bathroom is like you are in 1960!!! Dark wet and not clean!!! This establishment needs renovation!! The personal was friendly and polite !! I will not recommended!!!!
