We stayed here for two weeks, and had a really lovely holiday. We were welcomed on arrival with a glass of rakija and a piece of Turkish delight, which was a very nice touch. The staff on reception were friendly and helpful. We had a corner room in the annexe which was a nice size. The view was of the alleyway, but we didn't want to pay extra for a lake view, as we didn't spend loads of time in the room. It was clean and comfortable, with a nice walk-in shower, and quieter than the rooms on the front, as the bars can be quite noisy at weekends. We had to ask for extra hangers for our clothes, but the helpful staff sent them straight up. Breakfast was plentiful and there was a lot of choice. We were on half board, so ate in the restaurant every night. This is the only part of the stay that fell a little short, in my opinion. The restaurant is very nice, with a live band every night. Restaurant customers get a much more extensive menu than those on half board. The rather more limited half board menu didn't change while we were there, and as I don't eat meat (although I do eat fish), I ended up with a a very small selection of main courses I was able to eat. The meals were all very nice, but it just became a bit samey after a few days. Some of the waiters were friendlier and more helpful than others. The hotel has a small spa, with the biggest hot tub I'd ever seen, as well as a sauna and steam room. You can ask for robes to be sent to your room and change there. The location of the hotel is perfect - right on the lake and just a short walk to the old town. There is a beautifully-maintained grassed area running the length of the promenade - the ideal spot to leave our towels when we swam in the lake each afternoon. There's no need to walk to one of the beaches, as you can access the lake straight from the promenade. I would return to this hotel again, but on bed and breakfast next time.
