Location is ideal being right on the beach with on-site bars and restaurants, gorgeous waterfall pool and lush tropical gardens.

Pool and beach area was really good. I would hope if 'The grotto bar' was open or there were more heated area(s) available near beach porch.

Hotel is rundown. I was unhappy no umbrella and chairs were available. Front desk ladies were super rude. However the beach was gorgeous.

Property is showing its age. Has been remodeled but overall its age is showing. Looks like an old Holiday Inn from years ago that has been remodeled.
Overall, our stay was acceptable. Will look for newer property for next year.

Was not informed that the water would be shut off Friday morning February 16th, (check-out day) asked clerk at desk what was going on " oh, didn't you get a paper in room stating this" ? No, " oh, I'm sorry" . They were working on the balconies , ocean view higher price room of course when we inquired about this we were told their not working on that side of the building, not checkin day but started the very next morning. Communication was very poor.

I upgraded my room and I’m still getting charged on my credit card. I have 4 or 5 charges that is all about taxes and room change. Need one charge, seems confusing. Part of the building facing the ocean is being repaired. Had to change rooms on same floor due to unexpected construction according to staff. Not a big deal but how did you not know that ahead of time. 2nd floor was extremely noisy as well. I would stay again but not very organized at the moment.

The Island is a wonderful destination vacation resort. Everything is convenient and walkable. You can stay at the hotel without out leaving the property grounds if you didn't want to go anywhere and just relax.
Although, there are shops, restaurants, and the Island Pier within walking distance, as well as the Gulfarium Marine Life Park.
We were visiting in the off season, which the Island was doing maitenance on the outdoor pool area. We still enjoyed the hot tub outside in the gratto beteeen waterfalls.
The one issue we would change, would be the thin walls between rooms.
