We have a holiday home inland, and recently have popped down to La Zenia for an afternoon on the beach. We decided to have a quiet lunch at the poolside bar at La Zenia Hotel, and so glad we did. It was so tranquil, with lovely views of The Med. We enjoyed club sandwiches and a bottle of rose for €30. Definitely worth a visit.

La Zenia hotel is truly magnificent. The welcome at reception from Noelia and Alexandro, the absolutely amazing view from my balcony 818. The variety of food at mealtimes. Prosecco for breakfast is a lovely touch. The hotel was buzzing with solos, couples, groups of friends and golf groups. I had a pedicure in the Wellness Centre with Juani and suffice to say that my feet went to Heaven. Well done to a very hard working staff in every area. Cleanliness and friendliness are 5 star. Will be sad to go but will be back..

My stay at Hotel La Zenia was a delightful experience from start to finish. The hotel exudes a pleasant and cozy atmosphere, making it the perfect retreat for relaxation. The view from the hotel is breathtaking, adding to the overall charm of the place. Andres from the animation team stood out for his exceptional service. Even on his day off, he was incredibly helpful in organizing activities, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to my time at the hotel. Furthermore, I was pleasantly surprised by the affordability of the drinks, especially the Guinness, which was priced at only 6.70€!! This made unwinding at the hotel's bar even more enjoyable.

The water in the in-door swimming pool extremely cold. The short white male receptionist try to charge £9.00 to use the facility even so it advertised as free. The female receptionist tried to make me to pay a taxi ride from Zenia to Benidorm £265.00, the actual price is £140.00. The internet in my room did not work, complained to reception every day, with no result. The food is boring and bland. Overall experience is a lousy place, will never go there again.

There are many positive aspects to this hotel: 1. Location - set between two beaches with beautiful views, especially sunrise in the morning. 2. Environment - spotlessly clean, large rooms & good outdoor space. 3. Food - plenty of choice for everyone, good quality. The not so good aspects: 1. Water. Having paid over £200 a day for full board, we still had to pay for water even at meal times. Buying bottles of water at €2 won’t break the bank, but it jars a little when you have paid over £200 a day already. 2. Pool - the pool is tired and although probably stunning in it’s time, is now out of date and small for the size of the hotel. You feel like you’re swimming in a water pit. 3. Staff - most are friendly enough, but the hotel is hugely understaffed, particularly the bar. It is inefficient and leads to frustration. 4. Identity - the hotel feels a bit confused. The bathrooms are pink, the bedrooms are orange, the covers and curtains are green. Inside bar is blue/white, the towels and logos are purple… it doesn’t feel cohesive and nothing flows. It’s dated. This hotel could be an absolute gem - but clearly needs big investment and some TLC. We had a relaxing stay, but in it’s current state, it is expensive.

The location is perfect, amazing views with breathtaking sunrise. Breakfast is wonderful, huge choice and good quality. We didn't have lunch or dinner so can't comment. Staff very friendly and helpful, special mention to the cleaning lady on floor five, very friendly and hard working. Overall a very pleasant stay and we will be back soon.

Rooms are very dated and the shower was broken. Definitely not 4 star. 3 star is generous. The breakfast is nice and the outside area but they need to consider revamping rooms. They are charging 5 star prices for what are 2 star rooms. Hopefully it’s due a revamp.

I am not sure what kind of « 4 stars superior » the hotel is claiming, because the standard is very far from it. The rooms and bathrooms are extremely basic and very poorly decorated. The rooms are very noisy. The location is good by the beach and the breakfast buffet is good too. That’s as far as I can go looking for positive. We had bar food on the first evening (frozen pizza and some crisps) and never again.
