HOTEL FROM HELL This hotel is fit for nothing dont waste your money food is horrendous staff rude very little english .who put a bar in the swimming pool area stinks of chlorine drinks in plastic cups pay q euro .when we arrived the man on reception was horrible just sat there and watched trying to work the vending machine for water at 2 euro a bottle thats ok had to get him to come down he did to then find aut there was a water fountain no food are anything when you arrive at 2am photo are not true photos we was given a room with 2 doubles for 3 females 1 soecail needs man thy would not give a nother room shower over bath which i emailed them about to nothing thy said thy not got the email .the meat thy serve up looks like a blind man cut it cheap end of meat n fish chef came out of kitchen his whites looked like he had cleaned floor with then floor staff looked up kept with dirty tops on . Poop in toilet roll over flowing restaurant toilet bins .full of spanish on weekend pushing you about with there walkers it was an absolute joke would not pay 10 pound a night to stay in that find somewhere better

Hotel Review: Magic Ports Hotel, Orpesa, October Stay Our recent stay at this property was, unfortunately, a disappointing experience that did not live up to its advertised standards — particularly given we booked an all-inclusive package. Check-in and First Impressions Upon arrival, we were greeted by police tape and barriers at the hotel entrance. When we enquired, reception informed us that part of the building had fallen during a recent storm — not the most reassuring welcome. The hotel’s overall aesthetic felt somewhat institutional, with long corridors that lacked warmth or atmosphere. Facilities and Hidden Costs Although advertised as all-inclusive, many amenities came with unexpected charges. We were required to pay for the in-room safe, leave deposits for towels and cups (collected using a card system), and even pay £8 per person to access the warmer indoor pool — regardless of whether we were swimming. Access to the spa area was also restricted unless this fee was paid, even just to supervise children. The hotel promotes itself as a sports resort, yet activities for children were very limited. We searched in vain for the football camp mentioned on the map, and staff were unable to confirm if they even operated. As a result, children improvised by playing in the bar area, which led to unsafe and unsupervised behaviour. Cleanliness and Maintenance Cleanliness and maintenance were inconsistent. Hairnets provided for the pool area were left scattered across the floor, and on one occasion our children slipped on a freshly mopped corridor where no wet floor sign had been placed. The indoor pool area also leaked during rainfall, and several facilities felt tired and poorly maintained. Dining Experience The food quality was disappointing — repetitive and often lukewarm. The buffet area was crowded and chaotic, with guests frequently handling food with their hands. Hygiene standards were questionable, and I unfortunately became unwell on our second night. The overall dining experience felt more stressful than relaxing. Staff and Service While some staff were polite, a number were curt or unhelpful, and the atmosphere lacked warmth. Service inconsistencies made even simple requests (such as booking pool access) unnecessarily complicated. Shops and Extras Our children were eager to buy small gifts from the hotel shop, but we found items to be overpriced and poorly presented. For example, a bracelet missing several beads was still sold at full price, and gift-wrapping was unavailable. Positives The football-themed family room was clean and enjoyable for the children, and having a hire car allowed us to explore nearby beaches — a welcome change of scenery with better facilities and atmosphere. Overall Impression While the hotel’s concept as a family-friendly, sports-oriented resort is appealing in theory, the execution falls far short.
