We visited for a drink and potentially some food to no avail while in the area. It is a very busy place with a high turn over. Toilets are not free (even if your eating and drinking). However, when we arrived, nobody was manning this area / station, so it was being freely used. Parking can be extremely difficult (Jan24) and we actually left and returned, as their is no other choice around the area. The views are great of the mountain / volcano. There are also a number of walking trails within this area that are documented on map information boards. During our visit, there was a rather long queue for drinks and no tables to sit at, which again, is understandable as there are no options for this area. If you can take into consideration the long queues, difficulty in parking, paid toilet access and limited seating (Although there was much seating, when we visited, there were far too many people, so seating not possible). When we visited, some people used the coach bay to double and in some cases triple park and when coaches arrive, they simply sound there horn for extended periods of time, so you will also have this to listen to if you can get a table when visiting down.
