Albergo Somont

The family that runs this inn is very kind and hospitable. The peaceful location and stunning view is simply incredible. My room was clean and comfortable with a little balcony looking towards the mountains. The shower has strong pressure and steaming water, which is perfect after a long day in the snow. The breakfast is included with the room with fresh eggs from their own chickens and homemade pastries. The restaurant is also open for lunch and dinner with typical dishes of the area. The portions are big and reasonably priced. There's an adorable resident cat on property. The hotel is also pet-friendly for guests traveling with their fur-babies.

The hotel is situated in an excellent place in Ortisei, hotel surrounded by mountains. Bus stop near the hotel. Very welcoming and helpful owner. Restaurant at the hotel is very good and much cheaper than other restaurants. Recommended ☺️

We were staying in the local area at a hotel without a restaurant; Auberge Somont restaurant was close by and recommended by our host so we went up on the first night - and what a find! A brilliant view of the mountains around Ortisei, kind owner, and delicious good value local dishes. We ate here for every evening meal we had in the area and absolutely would stay here if we returned to the local area. We enjoyed the view, good food and wine immeasurably.

We had a very good stay for five nights. The accommodation is run by a family with great hospitality. We enjoyed the breakfast and also had dinner on site at the restaurant for three nights. The dinner was family style and of very good quality and reasonably priced. The room we had was on the second floor with a balcony and spectacular mountain views perfect for taking sunset photos of the Sassolungo Grippe. The room was very comfortable and the whole building very well maintained despite being almost seventy years old as we were told. The location was quiet but convenient as the bus stop is right outside and there is a complimentary bus service running to and from Ortisei town centre. We highly recommend this place and will definitely stay there if we visit Ortisei again.

Wonderful hosts amazing views super comfortable beds and a nice breakfast! Lots of parking on site and the local bus pics up directly outside the apartment. Highly recommend.

We stayed at Albergo Somont for four nights in September and had the most amazing time. This quaint family owned hotel offers a location that is the best of both worlds--a tranquil retreat with an incredible view of the mountains and easy access to short hiking trails, while being just a short trip (walking or driving) to the shops, bars, and restaurants of downtown Ortisei. An amazing value, the hotel offered a *free* breakfast every morning from 7:30-9 (yogurt, bread, cheese, speck, eggs, pastries) and full dinner service at night. After some long days of hiking, having easy access to great food without leaving the hotel was such a nice treat. The dinner menu was simple and consistent, but we were especially impressed with the friendly and accommodating service and the specials that changed every night. The owners truly create a warm and enjoyable environment that make any stay memorable. We will be back and recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a special place to make memories.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est extraordinaire. La vue est magnifique. Je n'avais pas payé très cher pour la chambre alors je ne m'attendais pas à grand chose. C'était un peu vieillot mais la fenêtre était neuve, tout fonctionnait et la literie était plutôt bonne. Si l'accueil était plutôt froid, ce qui doit être une des caractéristiques de la région, le service au restaurant était très sympathique avec une excellente cuisine familiale à prix très corrects.

Settimana straordinaria dal 21 al 27 agosto 2023. Posto stupendo, tranquillità assoluta, panorama incredibile. La famiglia che gestisce l'hotel è di una disponibilità e simpatia incredibile. Mi sono sentito a casa mia. Ottimo il ristorante, pranzo e cena con vere prelibatezze a prezzi modici. Camera spaziosa e pulita. Parcheggio auto gratuito. Servizio bus gratuito per e da Ortisei. Wifi gratuito. Allora cosa volete di più. Lo chiedo a tutto quelli che hanno dato recensioni negative.

Ho soggiornato con il mio compagno in questa struttura che è stata una meravigliosa sorpresa. Il personale da subito si è mostrato gentile e disponibile a soddisfare ogni nostra richiesta e a fornire utili consigli per godere al meglio della vacanza. La location è ideale per chi cerca relax e panorama mozzafiato, nonostante cio però è perfettamente collegato con un servizio bus al centro di ortisei e agli impianti sciistici. Camera curata e pulita con balcone a vista sulle montagne. Il cibo delizioso ha reso il tutto ancora piu piacevole, l'hotel dispone di un ristorante in cui gustare ottimo cibo locale fatto in casa, noi abbiamo cenato piu volte li e abbiamo provato molti piatti, uno piu buono dell'altro. Colazione anch'essa buona e abbondante, che dire, ci tornerò e lo consiglierò sicuramente.
