We had to have an extra night in Namibia due to a flight cancellation. This place was put to me and I had no idea what it would be like but agreed. I would have liked another day to appreciate it properly. Loved the view of the waterhole from the room with no animals but many birds. Despite having neighbours, it was quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed sitting out on our verandah just watching birds. We were able to hold the room till midday on departure as our flight was not until 8.00pm. A very pleasant stay and I would visit again for 2 nights.

Very friendly atmosphere within a beautiful Game park incl. white Rhinos. Especifically the Rhino Walk is very nice. One of the bedrooms were not equiped with air conditioner. It was too hot to sleep.

Everything was perfect and the overall atmosphere is really relaxing. We enjoyed every single minutes spent at Otjiwa safari lodge !

Overall a good place to stay for a night, conveniently located just off the main road between Windhoek and Etosha. This however leaves the impression of a busy place with somewhat cold and impersonal service. The elegant room where I stayed was great, as well as the activities I undertook – an afternoon walk, horse riding and a massage, though the latter two were a bit delayed, leaving me waiting by the reception with no information. At dinnertime I waited for a waiter to show me any attention for about a quarter, while other guests who came after me were already being served. Only after I protested a waiter came and politely apologized, which was accepted, but left me comparing the service at the restaurant with the impeccable service at other lodges on my trip. The food though was excellent and tastefully presented, both dinner, breakfast and at lunchtime. I also enjoyed the presence of many animals around the lodge, that could be observed both from the common areas and the room.

We were Traveling from Divundu back to South Africa. Comparing to our previous stay this place is totally overpriced. For overseas travelers this may be heaven because they can afford the steep price. The rooms are “cold” and every sound echoes. The shower was not clean and the hand basin needs a vinegar clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

We stayed at Eagle’s Rest and it was a great way to break up the journey from Etosha to Windhoek. A nice drive down (on a tarmac road!), lots of warthog to see on the way. An amazing setting, dark orange ground and a large reservoir that was dry. We had maxed out on game drives and so took it easy and went on some walks, the setting is amazing, the lodge was excellent, comfortable and spacious. There was great bird life and those who tried to see the rhinos had ana amazing time. Central restaurant was really good, great food and service was provided.

Our first camping experience in Namibia and it was hard to beat. The campsite was spotlessly clean and spacious. It was peaceful and simply stunning. We ate in the restaurant and both dinner and breakfast were good. The highlight was the game drive which was the best we experienced in our 2 weeks holiday. Can thoroughly recommend.

This was our final stop on our drive around Namibia and was well worth it! Wonderfully clean and modern lodge, with a lovely dining room, lounge area and terrace. The rooms are beautifully appointed and look over the bush - the springbok were sleeping at the bottom of our steps overnight! We arrived late afternoon and were leaving early to get back to Windhoek for our flight, so it was a last minute decision to do a sundowner drive. It wasn't shaping up to be the best drive we did, as our guide wasn't very informative, but we had sundowners with an incredible final view of Namibia, and as we drove back to the lodge we were treated to seeing 4 rhino, which was a wonderful way to end our trip.

What a beautiful spot on our way back home ... we stopped at Otjiwa to cut our journey back to Windhoek from Etosha. We were happy about the possibity to camp, the spaces are still in walking distance to the main building but hidden enough to still have this special Africa feeling, also thanks to the Kudus and antilopes walking around in the area. Never had such a good shower on our journey like here: hot and with water pressure like at home, all clean, all well maintained. The pool was fresh, the food was soooo good. You should not miss the dinner menu and the great cocktails at the bar! The staff is very friendly, the short Damara songs performance a nice end of the evening.
