Hoge Veluwe National Park, Otterlo Yakınlarındaki Oteller

Had a single room for three nights in June. The weather was warm and sunny. Overall, I did not expect much from the hotel, as such it met or exceeded my expectations. The good points. o Close to walking trials and the great outdoors o Breakfast. There breakfast is hands down SUPER. o Had a disproportionally large bathroom compared to the bedroom. It was nice but seemed awkward but a good awkward o the room, furnishing and bathroom were modern. The bathroom had definitely seen an update o plenty of free parking Things to improve o the bathroom had a balcony (which was nice) but on the balcony there were cigarette butts. As a non smoker I can not stand this, but what it made it worse is that you have to question the cleaning staff if they don't clean that up. What else is getting missed o Single bed, was like for a very skinny person, not horrible kind of small o One Shampoo for 3 days, no refills. I think they could replenish the shampoo given it was for both shower and hand washing. o Dinner, had it once. It was okay but not 35 euros good for fish and chips and one beer.

My wife and I are in Wageningen three times a year, and we always stay at the Hotel de Wereld. We have been doing this for years. I think I can safely say that time in and time out that the customer service we receive from basically everyone at this small hotel is world class. The hotel itself is clean, has a warm, inviting feel, and the rooms are quite comfortable. The location is super convenient--right on the edge of the main part of the town, with all the shops and restaurants no more than a five minute walk away. A short walk up the road gets you to two beautiful arboretums. Plus, you can check out the major historical significance of the hotel while there. If you are going to Wageningen, stay here.

The sports theme is everywhere in this hotel and it's great to see, a nice change from all the anonymous hotels out there. The room was comfortable and well equipped. Breakfast was fantastic and I would strongly recommend it if you're staying here, though there is a bit of a walk from the rooms to the restaurant. Parking very close to the hotel entrance outside was free, with plenty of space. The hotel appears to be in a calm and beautiful area. Unfortunately, the booked rooms did not match what we received when we arrived. Even though a suite was included in the booking - and pre-paid for - we only received normal twin rooms. Upon raising this with the front desk and asking for a partial refund they promised to get back to me via e-mail, which they never did. I raised the issue with the booking agent who also contacted the property, but they refused to refund the partial cost. I'm afraid this cast a shadow on an otherwise pleasant stay and I'm upset that the hotel was not be willing to compensate for their mistake, even just the cost difference.

Let me start off by saying: if you are looking for a nice area for walking and cycling, this hotel may be worth it. The surrounding woods are quite nice. Other than that, don't expect much. As others have already mentioned, it's not a typical hotel but more of an outdated holiday resort. It's not even close to being worth 4 stars. There are two rooms per building, using the same main entrance, and you have to pay extra if you want the ground level room - which is apparently also the only one with a kettle and coffee machine. The stairs to the first-floor hotel room are quite steep and not accessible to everyone. The vibe it gave was 'sleeping over in your 70-year-old uncle/grandpa's attic'. The rooms are very old-fashioned, with no clock, an old radio you can't plug in because of the lack of outlets, and a bit of a musty smell. The 'two-person bed' is just two single beds pushed together, so if you want to be intimate with your partner or just sleep close together you will most definitely end up in the gap in between. The beds don't sleep great, either. There is no airconditioning so it gets quite hot in the summer with no way of cooling down, and the wifi is not too stable. There is also some mould in the shower, as well as rust, and the window in the bathroom does not open. The toilet sometimes refused to flush properly. Breakfast was standard, don't expect any vegan options except for bread and peanut butter. You are allowed to take some stuff for lunch, though, which is nice. There is no fridge in your room however, so keeping things cool is not an option. Also bring your own cutlery, plate & cup if you plan on buying breakfast/lunch at a local supermarket, because the room only comes with two plastic-lined paper cups. There is only one vegetarian main course on the restaurant menu, but the chef was very kind and made the vegetarian lunch options dinner-sized for us. Vegan would definitely be impossible, though. The restaurant and pool are also not that easily accessible for people in a wheelchair or with a walking impairment. Definitely get some sort of voucher or discount deal, otherwise the prices are way too high for what you get. You're not allowed to order food from Thuisbezorgd etc. The pool is... well, it's not much. It's small but barely anyone goes for a swim there, so chances are you will have it all to yourself. Bring something like a diving game or a ball if you want to have anything fun to do. The showers don't really work and half of them only have cold water. There is a tennis court but it will cost about 12 euros per hour to use it, and the 'sports fields' that are on the map they give you have become overgrown and cannot be used. You're not allowed to park your bike next to/close to your building but there is an old shed-like building in which you can store your bike. The layout of the room we stayed in was very unreasonable. It looked quite big. There was no place to let go. After two days of heating, the heating was not warm. They responded to the front desk of four shifts. Everyone’s attitude was not bad. No one has solved the problem, and some people have said to me, ”I don't feel cold, how can you be cold?”... You are Iron Man, I am probably a normal human, because I feel cold at 4 degrees...

We were in Arnhem from 25 th to 31st of August to drop our daughter into Arnhem business school - we stayed here during the time. It’s private and cozy and very friendly staff with a small resturant serving nice food and drinks right next to the hotel. Staff helped us getting taxis and also refunded the 3 day money when we decided to check out earlier. A few things that were not upto mark : the duplex studio was very nicely designed but was too small with very steep stairs ( if you have knee issues or someone who is travelling with a LB elderly Check this part beforehand ) Being an apartment and not a hotel there is not reception or round the clock service. Another important point is there is no UBER in Arnhem and getting a taxi to go around is a far more difficult task than one is used to in cities.

Mijn eerste keer logeren bij Fletcher in Nederland was een geweldige ervaring, en Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant De Buunderkamp heeft zeker indruk op mij gemaakt. Als dove gasten werden we hartelijk verwelkomd door het vriendelijke personeel, dat zijn uiterste best deed om ons te helpen communiceren. Het verblijf in het hotel was een van mijn beste ervaringen in Nederland. De accommodatie was comfortabel en schoon, en de omgeving was prachtig. We hebben ook genoten van een heerlijke maaltijd in het restaurant, waar het personeel attent en behulpzaam was. Al met al was ons verblijf bij Fletcher Hotel-Restaurant De Buunderkamp onvergetelijk en ik kan het zeker aanraden aan andere reizigers, vooral aan mensen met een doofheid of andere specifieke behoeften, omdat het personeel hun best doet om ervoor te zorgen dat alle gasten zich welkom en goed verzorgd voelen. Ik kijk ernaar uit om in de toekomst weer terug te keren naar dit prachtige hotel.

Stayed 1 night on a Leger Holidays tour. Before arrival our guide phoned ahead to book our group of 26 people into the restaurant for dinner. We were told this would be fine and there would also be porterage for our luggage. Plus as we had an early start in the morning a take away breakfast would be supplied and we would be given a list to select our choices. However on arrival the receptionist knew nothing of the conversation stating that her colleague had gone home and no one knew anything about the prior arrangement. So no porterage and no take away breakfast list. The issue of porterage was quite a problem as there was a fair number of elderly people in our group and some of the rooms had no lift access. (In fairness the receptionist did carry one elderly gentleman's case to his room) Our group was told to go to the Restaurant at 6-30pm for dinner which we did only to be told we weren't dining in the restaurant but in the bar area. We had no proper menu to look at and on complaining we were given a hastily prepared sheet of paper with limited choice and no prices. Once again we complained about this and another sheet of paper appeared with prices. We noticed that we were being charged the same price for our limited choice menu as the Ala Carte menu so why couldn't we be given the Ala Carte menu in the first place and sit in the proper restaurant? By now it was 8pm and a couple of our group had given up on the idea of eating and had gone to bed. The service we received was also third rate. Soup arriving after the main course and no spoon to eat it with, table water was requested which arrived but nobody thought about giving us glasses to drink it, food arriving luke warm/cold. Another 2 members of our group gave up with dinner and decided to eat bar food at the bar. They ordered their food together and one arrived an hour after the first. When we finally managed to track down a duty manager and brought all the above to her attention she was unsympathetic and quite obnoxious in the manner she responded to an elderly person who raised the difficulties the hotel were obviously having in catering for a group. You would think a hotel would welcome a group of 26 into their restaurant with open arms and provide a better service. The chaotic feel also extended into the rooms. Although they were of a fair size they were a little dated. The bathroom had a very deep bathtub that was quite hazardous to get in and out of even for a tall person like myself and there was no safety grab rails. There was a kettle in the room but no English breakfast tea and paper cups. (The kind of thing you would expect in a budget hotel) In fairness the take away breakfast was good and so large it also sufficed for lunch as well. Sadly any plus points were outweighed by the appalling treatment our group received the previous evening.
