Ambassador Guest House Bed and Breakfast

Fabulous Guest House in a great location, with everything within walking distance, including pubs, restaurants, amusements, beach, train, bus stations & Dartmouth Steam Railway. Excellent hosts, Graham & Lesley very friendly, welcoming & helpful. We arrived soaking wet from a downpour & were welcomed into lounge area with a hot drink. A very nice touch. The rooms were comfortable & so many extras, like coffee maker with pods, kettle & tiny fridge. Plenty of tea bags, milks, sugar & some biscuits. Pleasant toiletries, lovely large towels & more little extras in the bathroom. Fluffy dressing gowns too! Loved the little fold away stools & mini table that hung away on the wall. Breakfast super, cooked fresh to order (choose the night before) & plentiful or continental if preferred. Fruit salad was delicious. Lovely ambiance in the breakfast room. There was also a conservatory to relax in & bar. With such lovely hosts, the extra touches that make you feel at home, & delicious breakfast, great location, what more could you want.

Had a 3 night stay with my family. What a lovely gem of a place. Fantastic hosts that cannot do enough for you. Amazing breakfasts each day, cooked to perfection and lots of it. We stayed in the family room which was very spacious and cosy. Very comfy beds, nice big tv, coffee machine, kettle, mini fridge, water and biscuits which were topped up each day. The shower was lovely and hot with lovely quality towels. The hotel is close to the beach and shops which was lovely. Very homely cosy place which is highly recommended. Thankyou so much for looking after us so well. ✨

If you want to have a nice stay in Paington, Ambasador Guest House is a perfect location, quiet, comfortable and very tasty breakfast. The hosts are lovely people, trying to make you happy for chosen them. Well situated, you can visit a lot in the same area. Happy I was there

Lovely couple. Very warm welcome. They only took over day before we arrived, so very new to the b & b scene. Everything though was lovely and clean and they couldn't do enough to make sure your stay was a happy one. The breakfast was lovely and plenty of it.Will book up again next year x

Arrived in the evening and was met eventually, as the door bell wasn't functioning, by Marc. Who was very apologetic as they had only taken over that day! The room was very clean with everything you would need for our 3 night stay. The tea and coffee tray was excellent with lovely tasty biscuits too. After a comfortable night's sleep we were greeted by Sarah and Marc. Breakfast was so nice with good quality products and well cooked. Good choice of food as the continental breakfast was just as scrummy. We were so impressed that they had just taken over and definitely worked hard, even though they must have been shattered, to make our stay perfect. Would strongly recommend them as sure they will go from strength to strength. Wish I them well in their new venture.

A very warm welcome awaits from the moment you arrive,complementy refreshments offered upon entry . Room spotless, coffee maker pods included, selection of 5 leaf teas,hot chocolate. Fresh milk, orange juice cans of coke included in price. Freshly cooked breakfast excellent. Good location just short walk to town, beach and railway station. I have stayed 3 times at the Ambassador Hotel would not even bother to look elsewhere. Superb location for walkers of all abilities. Thanks Graham and Lesley a most enjoyable stay once again.

The hosts Graham and Lesley are both really lovely people, and are willing to help with any requests. The family room we stayed in is beautifully decorated, very spacious with double bed and two singles, a large wardrobe with plenty of hangers, deluxe coffee maker, water and biscuits provided, there is also a nice shower/ toilet room, great shower e with toiletries. Breakfast was excellent and plenty of choice. There is also a rather nice bar area. The guest house is perfectly located for both the beach and the town, with lots of restaurants nearby. We had a wonderful stay, and hope to stay again.

Lovely place, our bedroom overlooked the rugby field it was spotlessly clean and topped up each day with unexpected extras the bed was very comfortable, large tasty breakfasts served were up by brilliant hosts Graham and Leslie. Thanks for a great stay.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Ambassador Guest House, and when next in Paignton wouldn't look anywhere else to stay, it was just wonderful. The Ambassador is in a great location for local restaurants, railway and bus stations, shops and of course the beach and harbour. The room came with a Nespresso coffee machine with pods, as well as a kettle, milk and sugar, together with yummy biscuits, there was also a mini fridge for our cold drinks. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean, well appointed and quiet. The bathroom, also very clean, included complimentary toiletries plus many other thoughtful extras. We enjoyed several evenings chatting in the bar with Graham and other guests, the bar prices are very reasonable. The breakfast was the absolute best we've had anywhere, great choice, cooked to order, hot and very tasty, very generous portions and using local produce. Oh and not forgetting, the Guest House also has a car park. Thank you Graham and Leslie for a fantastic stay!
