AWFUL! The worst place we’ve been in our life! I have traveled a lot in my life and I have never seen such a horrible place. When we arrived at the apartment-hotel, we found a dirty flat. There was a lot of hair on the living room floor. Unwashed sheets in one bedroom. And to top it all off, in two different rooms, two pillows with blood on them. We were horrified. How can a hotel allow this to happen! Especially as the blood stains were on the visible side of the pillows (see photos). So instead of enjoying our stay, we went shopping for cleaning products at Lidl next door. We spent several hours cleaning as there were no flats available for a change that day. This led to a big family conflict with enormous tensions. We had a very bad stay because of this. What's more, we asked for a quiet flat and they did nothing about it. They didn't say they were sorry they didn't have anything available. There is no consideration for the customer. We were facing a roundabout, on the first floor, with shrill metallic noises coming from the delivery lorries delivering for Carrefour. On top of that, there's the rubbish truck that goes past every morning, right under the balcony. We didn't sleep much. I tried to call the hotel several times about these problems but there was no answer. I later found out that there was an emergency number and that reception was closed. Which is surprising for a hotel. I showed the bloodstains to the person who works at the hotel and she was speechless, surprised, not knowing what to say. We've been in a Covid period for a few years now and it's unacceptable for me to leave blood in a hotel !!! This time, there was a flat available. They cleaned up in the new flat. Once again, we had to lose a whole morning to pack our things and go to a new apartment. In a 3-night stay, we made very little of our time there. So I asked for the whole stay to be refunded, but the manager refused when he returned from holiday. In the meantime, I had asked if it was possible to stay an extra night to compensate for this. The reservations department agreed, but most of the family didn't, as there was too much noise, and we couldn't sleep properly. It's very badly isolated. You can hear when a member of the family goes to the toilet or takes a shower or watches TV. So it was impossible to fall asleep until everyone else was asleep. It's very badly isolated. I wasted an enormous amount of time on messages during my stay and communication with a hotel manager who is incapable of putting himself in the customer's shoes. What I don't think is right is that they're trying to get me to keep quiet about the bloodstains and hygiene problems. (see screenshot).
