Dera Jawai

We did one night here and it was so good to get out of the city into rural India. The accommodation was big, new, air conditioned and in a calm peaceful setting with peacocks strutting round. But, what makes this place are the staff who are attentive, efficient, welcoming and authentic. The food was delicious and plentiful and they went out of there way to get us cold beers after a long day. They organised a Safari which cost us Rs.4000 for four of us and whilst we didn’t see the leopards the scenery was stunning and the trip very exciting. We would definitely recommend Dera jawai to friends.

This is an enchanting place. Staff are helpful, carrying heavy bags, mustering a tasty snack after a long journey and sourcing chilled beer for our dinner They were always on hand and Served up a great dinner and breakfast The rooms are large, air conditioned, modern and comfortable. They organised a leopard safari and was by far, one of the best things we have done. Whilst no great leopard spot the scenery was stunning. Cost 4000 rupees They also organised a taxi to jodphur for 4000 rupees Definitely give this place a try

Best place to visit in Jawai, in the lap of nature. Room was clean and fresh. Staff was very good , courteous and cooperative. Abhishek Ji who was handling this property was very humble. Recommend everyone to visit Dera Jawai once in lifetime.

It was a perfect 2 day retreat. The tents, modelled on hunting camps for rajas, are spacious and well specced. The bathrooms are huge and everything is very well maintained The estate is very peaceful and full of local birds and peacocks Every evening a bonfire was lit and we enjoyed drinks (our own) with food The food served was the highlight - Indian cuisine, but very tasty. Would recommend the restaurant just for the food 👌 We took 2 safaris, arranged by the resort, in which we had successful sightings

Firstly staff and the owner is very very very respectful helpful caring Rooms were super clean super comfy and bathroom was awesome Safety was 100% I loved whole trip they even gave blankets and tea for the safari trip to make it more comfortable Safari was veru adventurous and guide was also very courteous person Food was super delicious Definitely worth it

The experience was absolutely wonderful. The hospitality, the stay, and the leopard safari experience were great. We were here for just one night. I wish it had been longer, and I believe it could not have been better than this. If serenity, excellent hospitality, some quiet time,and great food are what you are looking for, this is the place for you. The accommodation is very neat and clean. I loved the tent style of the accommodation. The bonfire arranged at night was a nice experience and we ate our evening meal next to it. The leopard safari is a must-do experience - for the drive, for the experience of nature, and for the leopards. Our safari guide, Govind, patiently made sure we spotted some leopards. A sincere thank you to everyone at the property.

I have never been so excited to post any review before, and that's because I found GOLD. Dera Jawai has won my heart for more reasons than one, and that is because of its staff. Staff's attitude and service won my heart a million times, right from the time I reached and till I left. They treated me with u**ost respect, Gratitude, and extreme eagerness to serve and make me happy. Even the food is absolutely outstanding. I ate the local delicacies in both veg and non-veg, and I must say that I have not had such amazing food in ***y ***y years, across the world. Rooms are very tastefully designed keeping the local traditional styles alive, and very spacious. You get all the necessary amenities in the room that you get in a 5 star hotel/ resort. The Owner, Mr Bhanu Pratap ji, is himself extremely courteous and warm and hospitable. His eye for detail and passion reflects the high quality training he would have given the staff. Surrounded by raw natural beauty, it is a Safe place for families and internet connectivity is also fine. They arrange for Leopard Safari as well as other local tours, which must not be missed. One of the best stays in jawai. Resort location is near to safari. Near to railway station. Co operative and friendly staff. Will recommend to friends and family. Food was amazing . Separate viewing point for sun set and morning breakfast . Thank you

Had an amazing experience.. the hospitality is at notch level.Abhishek ji and Sakhla ji showed us a great hospitality. The food is very tasty and authentic. Rooms are also very clean and spacious. Must go place
