Royal Palm Resort on the Beach

Great location right next to the beach and fantastic views. Apar**ent had everything you need!

DO NOT Stay here! especially if they give you unit 1c. Firstly the carpark lay out is ridiculous signs say carpark A,B,C wouldn't you think we'd be in C NO Carpark A and no lift so if you have a wheelchair you have to push it up the ramp to access the lift! The unit was old and grubby with stains on the carpet and a strange smell. The flyscreen in the lounge didn't close properly and had a big hole in it. There were no curtains or blinds in the lounge so everyone playing tennis can see into your area and if you want to watch TV from the kitchen YOU CAN'T due to the glare on the TV for the windows. In the kitchen there was oil dripping from the range hood onto the stove top. The main bedroom had no air con or flyscreen so you had to keep the doors shut or get eaten by mosquitoes which had been previously squashed on the bedroom walls and not removed. The second bedroom HAD a flyscreen but the windows were nailed shut! We received a welcome letter on our arrival Sunday and it stated "A complimentary starter pack has been provided for your convenience, once depleted you will need to purchase additional items........" On Monday afternoon ( we had to wait until then as there was no one at reception when we left for the day at 8.55am) I went to reception to advise of the above. The young girl kept saying sorry and when I asked to speak to the manager the lady next to her piped up "I'm the manager". When I re mentioned the above Sara sarcastically told me "I'll get housekeeping to come in on Tuesday and IF you really need coffee I can give you a satchet now" Seriously the attitude was disgraceful and this is the worst so called resort we have EVER stayed in. Do yourself a favour and avoid there are plenty of other resorts located on the beach in this area. I just wish I'd chosen one of those :(

We loved the pool - temperature was perfect. Also the proximity to the beach. We weren't impressed with the walk upstairs from carpark to lifts from carpark A. Nor the walk downsteps afterwards from the pool. Otherwise unit was beautiful. Will definiely consider returning.

We did not enjoy our stay here. Booked a “deluxe” two bedroom apar**ent and it was anything but deluxe. Room extremely old which doesn’t make for an enjoyable stay. Carpet foul, unit smelt musty. No ceiling fans. Broken ceiling light. Despite being advertised as ocean front, you can barely see the ocean. Very deceiving listing. Even though some reviews are good and while there may be some renovated rooms, it’s honestly not worth the gamble. If you get an old room the stay is unpleasant at best. Considering what these units book for per week it’s mind boggling that the owners don’t update the furniture to make the stay more enjoyable. Very greedy. While we were there the gate to the beach wasn’t working so we had to use the highway to access the beach. I can see why their bookings are non-refundable as as soon as people do a little digging they would want to cancel. Don’t waste your money. Many nicer places to stay with the same great location.

We booked through bookings .com a superior apar**ent two bedroom . Thinking we would get a beautiful Apar**ent! Wrong !! We got a total different apar**ent from the photos , We have just sheets on the bed no blankets at all , main bedroom door had hole and patches of paint missing , the onsuit bathroom. Well where do I start dirty shower screen basin rusty old and dirty ! Toilet brush I would use it so Old and dirty ! Kitchen cups were so dirty I had to bleach and dish-wash before using ! Mix match of plate and glasses we horrible looked cheap and looked like the were purchased from an opp shop ! This apar**ent was 7B the sofa has seen better day s for sure cutlery trays were old and cracked , junk in cupboards , dust every where well over due for a major clean ! Patio doors wouldn’t open properly and balcony railings were wobbly as you lean on it (safe issue here) Lots of Reno’s going on so loud noises going on ! So Disappointed as the beach was perfect and surrounding Restaurants and cafe were great ! Please do a complete check on this before booking .

We loved our stay at the Royal Palm in a huge 2bed 2bath room on level 13, with AC & carpark space. We could move from beach to pool and waking up to that view was fabulous (tho the black-out curtains couldn’t keep all the morning sun out unfortunately). It seemed a bit old with slow internet but is kept nice & clean. Such a lovely relaxing location & wish we lived closer to stay more often!

Great views of the beach and areas. Very nice pool and spa . Excellent apar**ent with everything I needed for my stay. Would stay here again.

Great location- close to beach and Currumbin inlet, as well as plenty of restaurants, takeaway, cafes, groceries (coles) nearby. Stunning outlook from our apar**ent on 18th floor overlooking beach, pool and view of the inlet. The living area and kitchen were ample and well-provisioned. Washing machine and dryer were very handy. The bathrooms and bedrooms are in dire need of an update, but bed was very comfortable and everything was functional. No air conditioning. The balcony doors and windows were not sealed and wind came whistling through or rattled them on the tracks with a big gust (frequently). Pool was great (lovey and warm) and the kids were stoked to play mini golf and tennis.
