Eagle Hotel

HUGE, clean room! Manager/owner was super helpful and nice when checking us in. We were located on the third floor which required either taking an elevator to the 2nd floor & walking up a flight a stairs or taking two flights of stairs. Rooms look new, or recently renovated. Room is HUGE with two queen beds, refrigerator, free standing fan/cooling unit and overhead ceiling fan. These were a plus as it was rather warm/hot when we were there and lots of places do not have air/fans. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel and several within walking distance. Palmer, the town in which it is located, is super cute with lots of dining and shopping opportunities.

Wow--large room!! cushy carpet (no shoes!) , giant TV and we slept great. Breakfast at the restaurant was really good, love supporting this family business. Made our first night in Alaska a good one. Stay here instead of Anchorage if you are on the way to Glacier View!

Large clean room, nice seating area, can use some more wall hooks. Water takes forever to get hot, so does the heater. Easy check in and check out. Very quiet part of town even right "downtown". The rooms are much newer than expected. Ample parking.

I had a lovely stay at this hotel. It is conveniently located on Palmer's "main" street within an easy walk to multiple restaurants, interesting shops, and brewhouses. There is plenty of free parking available. The hotel itself is old, but the guest rooms are newly, nicely, updated complete with a refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. There is a laundry room and ice maker available. On the main floor, there is a bookcase where you can "leave a book" or "take a book". Also on the main floor, there is an attached restaurant for your breakfast and lunch meals. I had the good luck of having a room facing the main road. This afforded me a beautiful view of the morning sun rising over snow-capped mountains. I could not hear any noise from the street during the evening. During the summer, when Palmer is having its various festivals this hotel is an excellent choice to be close to "the action". My only complaint is that they have only one luggage cart. This was available to me when I arrived but when I left another, unknown guest, had put it in their room and it was not available to anyone else. Please, don't be THAT selfish guest. Unfortunately, with no cart available it took me longer than I wanted to check out. The hotel could easily fix this problem by purchasing multiple carts. If another cart had been available when I needed it, my rating would have been 5 stars. If I were to stay in Palmer again, hands down, this is where I would go. It's a good deal for your money!

Stayed here for 2 nights & my room was big, spacious, warm to me anyway(I sleep better when its not so overly warm), bed was nice & clean, so was the bathroom. Restaurant was downstairs on main level. Had breakfast 2 mornings in a row, it was served piping hot, the coffee was awesome, hot & freshly made. My overall experience qas Aweaome! And yes I will return. 5 stars for sure. One more thing, the outside of the hotel is not your glamourous Ritz. Its a nice place, trust me.

After a long day in Katmai, my husband and I stopped here to stay the night. The elevator did not go all the way to the third floor. Our room had a scenic mountain view. The room was specious. The pillows were very fluffy. There is no breakfast in the morning, but breakfast is available at a restaurant next door.

very good location, close to the glacier and reindeer farm. you check in by calling the front desk and download an app called OpenKey and use the mobile key provided by the app. But of course there is no breakfast provided by the hotel, in fact, the hotel doesn't have any employee on site. Gonna take care of yourself.
