Having Now Stayed At The George Hotel Several Times & Being an Ideal Location for the Events I attend It Gets Top Marks From Both Me & My Friends.

I am 6ft 4 and was placed in attic with sloping ceilings and beams kept hitting my head shower room and bathroom very poor, no head board on bed due to slop of roof so pillows kept falling down the back
I have stayed here before and found it to be good value for monie but on this occasion it has made me question of I should look elsewhere

Great location and friendly staff but the rooms are tired, falling apart and not clean. Our 2 bed room has stains on the carpet, a cracked floor tile in the bathroom, stains on the walls. The rooms themselves are clearly very old like the building itself but there’s no sign of keeping them feeling charming and old fashioned but still clean and functional. If it were a budget price we had paid some of it could have been overlooked but for nearly £300 for 2 nights it was no where near good enough.

no plug in whb,severe lack of water pressure in taps,very small room,toilet seat not working properly,toilet not flushing properly, second bed very very small.This room 30 is not A TWIN ROOM!

Absolutely horrendous - sleep deprivation torture!
How on earth can they charge such extortionate rates (without breakfast)?
There was no point in the curtains as they were tissue thin, and my room was next to the busy London railway line (a few metres away) – everytime a train went passed the room would vibrate and the trains were constant through the night.
The room was small, cramped and dated.
I can honestly say this is the worse place by miles I have ever had the misfortune to stay. Never again!!

The room we booked was a lovely size - triple room
It was very comfortable -yes the furniture was a little dated but in keeping with the property type
Everything very clean
Plenty of tea and coffee provided
Also the hotel provided towels and toiletries
Will definitely stay again

Arrived at 8pm on Monday 29th May. The hotel bar and restaurant were closed. the whole place was empty. strange for a holiday Monday in summer. Will not stay again

Hotel was comfortable and clean. Food in the bar was very good and breakfast was excellent.
Staff were very professional especially the young lady that served breakfast every morning.
