Niepce Paris Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton

Generally a good location, with proximity access to modern times what’s become of Paris. It’s in a relatively quiet neighborhood with easy access to metro just around the corner. About an hours walk to Eiffel Tower from here, and perhaps an extra 30mins from there to Champs Elise! Breakfast is sort of ok, but staff are absolutely fabulous. I think I’d just hope that the room I stayed - 212 - is “overhauled”. There was a bit of not-acceptable smell from the bathroom or ceiling, not sure which, but it was a negative experience on that one.

My family and I stayed here for 5 nights and really enjoyed our stay! For us the location was fantastic away from direct center and the surrounding neighborhood was quiet and enjoyable. The staff was very helpful with any questions you may have and accommodating with two rooms. I personally loved the decor which was amplified by how clean and well maintained the room & property were. I will be back the next time I am in Paris!

Located 20 min with Uber from the river, not so noicy street and only 5 years old hotel. Ranks as 4-star online which is fair for the standard of the rooms and overall the hotel being built in 2018. Service experience vary from 2 to 4 star so overall you get a 4-star experience.

The hotel is located near metro station, too quiet on the street during night, not clear what's the neighborhood. Room is quite small, looks nearly full with king size bed. Hotel offers happy hour everyday, actually it's only buy one drink, get one free. Breakfast is good, nice restaurant.

This is an excellent choice of a hotel. We needed a hotel that could fit our family of 4 comfortably. The larger suite at the Niepce Paris Hotel was beyond what we imaged, with a suite that spanned two floors with a spiral staircase leading to two queen beds upstairs for the kids. The first level had a queen pull-out bed. The room had skylights, a large wall-to-wall window on the first level, small fridge, large bathroom with big walk-in shower, and televisions with full range of cable channels on both floors. For a family, this is the place you want. Some might think Montparnasse is a bit out of the way, but it is quiet here, there are excellent cafes and family restaurants in the neighborhood, and we like to walk all over Paris so for us it was ideal. Around the corner from the hotel is the Pernety Pizza, which was excellent, and a number of wonderful cafes. We will stay here again, no question.

This hotel is NOT a four star venue nor is it worthy of the Hilton Curio Collection. When you arrive there is no way to get your bags to reception without lugging them down a flight of stairs. This wouldn’t be so bad if there were bellman to help but, there are not. When we finally got to our room it was dark, dank and dirty with horribly stained carpeting. We were moved to a new room that was better but still not what I’d expect for a Hilton. In addition to challenges with the hotel itself we experienced an issue with the restaurant at the hotel we had booked almost a month in advance. Although we had a confirmation we were told the restaurant would not be honoring it because they had a private party. That left us scrambling to find a place to eat at the last minute. Finally, just when we thought it couldn’t get worse I realized after leaving I was charged twice. Once using points for the stay before arriving and then a second time on the card they took for incidentals. We stayed in four other hotels during our trip that were all wonderful so this being our final night in France was a huge disappointment!

Nice hotel with distinct, cozy atmosphere in a nice neighbourhood. Close to metro station Pernety. It is not the most central location in Paris, but with the metro you get around easily. There are a number of nice restaurants nearby. We typically stay at this hotel when i Paris.

came to this hotel with one of my friend Mr Solberg and I have been very disappointed when I arrived at the reception with Celine the front office manager who did not understand my request at the beginning and has been unhelpful and a little upset at the end. Just after my check-in, there was another gentleman at the reception, Mr Toi who has been professional with all my requests and very patient. Generally the rest of my stay has been correct but I stay on my bad experience at the beginning for the welcome at the reception.

I’ve literally stayed in well over a hundred hotels from hostels to luxury stays. I’ve never, ever stayed somewhere which did not provide a blanket. We paid over 600 euros a night for a Queen Duplex Suite. One day when housekeeping cleaned our room, they forgot to give us a blanket. Okay, no problems – I called downstairs to reception to ask for a blanket. The front desk staff refused to give us a blanket – he said it was hotel policy that he could not leave the front desk unstaffed. My child and I slept with no blankets – we used the bath towels as a substitute. Not what we expected from a four star boutique hotel. When we spoke to someone else at the front desk the next day, they told us he should have made an exception and fetched us a blanket. As you can tell, the service is a mixed bag and really is more on the lousy side (two of the front desk staff were great). Sometimes it was bizarre. My credit card didn’t work on check-in and I apologised to the front desk staff member, who then argued with me about how the banking system in Australia worked (???) – this was the same individual who refused us a blanket. I asked him if I could use a different card on check-out – he made out like it was a massive inconvenience and warned me I better do it well before check-out. I was later told it was not a problem at all. We stayed for 6 nights and kept trying to get into the restaurant – but it was booked out every single night. Which would have been okay but there was only ever a limited room service menu which meant in effect we were forced to eat out every night. The location wasn’t great either – not really close to anything we wanted to see and while the metro was close, it wasn’t good if stairs are a problem (e.g. if you have accessibility issues or need to take a pram with you). The hotel can only be entered via stairs at the front so keep that in mind also. The room was literally so dark I had to use my phone flashlight to see the contents of my suitcase, even when every light was on (eventually fixed by requesting a floor lamp). Positives – breakfast was pretty solid with made-to-order eggs and some really helpful and friendly staff (apart from the manager who was brusque and never smiled once). Upstairs in the duplex suite was pretty comfortable even though the downstairs wasn’t great. After reading great reviews, we were looking forward to our stay but ended up sorely disappointed. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
