Hotel Geoffroy Marie Opera

We were really pleasantly surprised by this hotel after reading some bad reviews.. we only stayed here one night but it was everything you would need. The room was clean, had a brilliant AC unit as the weather was very hot in Paris, there was a fridge with water, the tv was signed into a guest account on all streaming services & the man at reception was very helpful and really funny. He set out a summer seat for us outside the hotel & offered us coffee as we waited on our taxi. We were unsure about this place but as we only needed it for one night so thought we would take the risk, but if we were coming back to Paris again we would definitely consider this hotel! I never met any rude members of staff, both I encountered were so helpful. Location is around 30 mins taxi from Eiffel Tower which is around €16 in an Uber

The hotel was generally fine and what we expected for the price, except for its poor cleanliness. Right when we arrived in the room, we found at least 4 hairs on the bed, under the covers, and on the pillowcases. It was nice to have an AC unit but was not worth it just for that.

Very satisfied indeed. Welcoming staff and extremely helpful. Good position, very well connected to the centre. Also surrounded by good, economical restaurants. Free WiFi available, clean rooms. Only the bathroom was a little small.

Hotels in Paris are expensive, so this property is a reasonable compromise. It's a little tired and rundown, the rooms are basic and there's no breakfast. However, the welcome was friendly, the bed itself was comfortable and the room - although cold on arrival - soon warmed up. Shower is powerful with good hot water, in a very small bathroom. As some others have mentioned, the pillows are far too big and uncomfortable - and the room was cleaned despite the 'do not disturb' sign being clearly on the door. They also left my window wide open in 2 degree weather. Wifi is free and fast, and the hotel does seem safe and secure. Overall, for a single traveller or just a day or two, perfectly comfortable - plus lots of eating options nearby and very close to supermarkets and the Metro.

I asked a gentleman who appeared to be the proprietor at reception if I could book a taxi to the airport, for myself and my two friends for the following morning. His response was no, because as an English person I would be taken back to the airport by the Police in a bus. He said this would do everyone a favour and they would use EU money to do it! We thought this might have been a bad joke and asked again if he could book a taxi and he refused. Needless to say I won’t be rushing back. The hotel is very basic and reception is not open before 11 in the morning which is not that helpful if you would like any advice/ before you head out for the day.

Hôtel 3 étoiles ?? Des chambres non faites avec des linges encore sales.. après l’avoir signalé on découvre une chambres avec des draps propres lancés mais avec toujours la pile de draps sales, les toilettes sales avec la chasse d’eau pas tirée et des lits pas faits. À fuir

Credo che la media così bassa sia dovuta a recensioni vecchie di quando forse l'hotel era in uno stato diverso da quello attuale. Ora come ora è una buona soluzione per chi intende usare l'hotel come "casa base" dopo una giornata passata a girovagare e non è interessato a particolari servizi extra. La pulizia si può migliorare un po' e dal bagno proveniva un lieve odore sgradevole, ma niente che non si risolvesse aprendo un po' la finestra. Di contro, i letti erano molto comodi, la posizione è ottima e lo staff è stato cordialissimo.

Minable. Moche. Sale. Chambre laide. Draps sans doute non changés ( sorte de couette de couleur bordeaux… ) Je me demande comment un tel établissement peut avoir 3 étoiles. C’est une arnaque complète compte tenu du prix payé.
