Hotel Montpensier

What a lovely little hotel. We stayed four nights and we were very happy with it. Our room was twin beds, with a wardrobe, dresser and table. The bathroom was snug but had everything you needed. A bath, a good over bath shower with lots of hot water and good pressure. It could have done with an extractor fan as it steamed up very quickly but that was only a minor thing. There were extra pillows in the wardrobe and all the bed linen was excellent quality. The receptionists were all lovely and really helpful. You have to hand in your key when you leave the hotel but that suits me as it saves me losing it! We ate breakfast there each morning to save time and that too was plentiful. bread, croissants and pain au chocolat each. Plus help yourself to cereals, yoghurt, cheese, fruit, jam, butter and coffee or tea. There were also sachets to make hot chocolate. All for 11 euros! We were on the first floor so we walked up. There was a lift - we didn't risk it as my friend is terrified of the cage kind that it was. We saw others using it without any problems. We overlooked Rue de Richelieu which was a noisy road but with the window closed we heard very little noise. For the price we paid,( an absolute bargain by Paris prices) 2 minutes walk from the Louvre, I am sure we could not have found a more delightful place. We will definitely stay here on our next trip. Love it!!

Brilliant find! Very friendly hotel, good, clean accommodation, smack bang in the centre of Paris. We were out all day every day sightseeing, so this was perfect if you just want a comfy bed and a clean room to sleep in. The local restaurants are amazing, loads of bustling places to eat. Gets quite busy on the street outside until late on but the windows were good at keeping the noise out! We stayed in the the 3rd floor, room 25 as a family of 3. (2 adults and a 5 year old). The only thing we lacked was a kettle but there are tonnes of coffee shops around and a Carrefour at the top of the street. Room spacious, maid service daily, would happily stay here again. It was great, we have no complaints. Recommended!

The hotel was very good. We stayed for 4 nights and it felt like home. The bathroom is pretty big for a regular bathroom. They clean the rooms very well. The only bad thing about the hotel is that we could hear who is talking at the corridor from the room. The receptionists were really nice and helpful. Although the hotel wasn’t a luxury hotel, it is great for someone who wants to be outside all the time and only come to the hotel to sleep. The hotel is a 3 minute walk from the Louvre Museum and at the center of Paris.

Only a 2 star and nothing startling from the street - but is a great little find Less than 10 minute walk to Les Halles station - direct RER train from airport (approx 30min journey) less than 5 min walk to Louvre - and just bit further to Seine river Sacre Coeur is pleasant 30 minute walk heading north Champs Elysee is walkable, even all the way to the Arc - less than an hour You can walk down the river bank to the Eifell Tower in 45 mins Room very spacious and staff very helpful Got us a 7 seater taxi to Longchamp Lots of lovely bars and cafes around the area (try La Royal for breakfast near the fountains in the square, just 2 mins walk south) and Latin district just 15 mins walk across the river

The Montpensier was our home for a week. Best location you’ll ever find. Steps from the Louvre, the palais, and many great restaurants and cafes, and good shopping. Despite the positives, this hotel was not something to write home about. It was dirty, and never really cleaned while we were there. As well, I needed assistance with a e-scooter I rented due to disabilities. It was very heavy, and had to be lifted up a couple of stairs to get it inside. No one from the desk lifted a finger to help. They simply watched while we struggled. Not impressed. Overall, I would not rate this hotel more than the 3 stars, and it would only have 2 stars if it wasn’t so perfectly situated.

Ottima posizione, a due passi dal Louvre, stanza tripla spaziosa, pulita e ristrutturata, bellissima vista sui tetti di Parigi. Bella l' atmosfera d' altri tempi che si respira. Personale gentile, viene offerto il servizio deposito bagagli gratuito. Consigliatissimo

Hotel molto grazioso. ottima la posizione e ottimi sevizi (wi-fi). personale molto gentile. consigliatissimo. ho viaggiato sola con le mie figlie. consigliato perchè vicino a tutto e soprattutto zona molto tranquilla. tornerò sicuramente

Ma nuit s'est arrêtée quand j'ai découvert les habitants du matelas qui marchaient sur l'oreiller. J'ai passé la nuit assise sur le lit mais j'ai du laisser ma fille de 3 ans dormir pour le pas la tromatiser en sortant en pleine nuit car je n'avais pas de voiture dans laquelle me réfugier. A la réception on ose me dire que c'est comme ca partout a paris ! A fuir!!

Localização excelente, mas limpeza não é o forte. Deixa muito a desejar. A recepção também é muitp simpática. Mas, paranquem tem rinite alérgica, não aconselho, pois tudo é bastante antigo. Muito perto de tudo, silencioso, apesar da localização movimentada.
