"Booking online with Trip was simple. The Dorsett have clean rooms and staff are lovely, plus it's attached to the Gold Coast Casino. I was pleasantly surprised that the hotel is equipped for people with disabilities or use a wheelchair. This includes self opening and closing doors, shower and toilet set up with aids that can be pulled out to accommodate needs and there are wheelchair touch buttons for opening the door. I showered before going out and it flooded the bathroom, luckily there were 2 infloor drains. Within 2 mins or asking for maintenance they had a lovely young man up to fix it, then another minute later housekeeping arrived with fresh towels. The maintenance man also gave me a good rundown and recommendations on the restaurant's at the Casino. 2 negatives - 1st, it is hard to work out where to park as you use the Casino parking, the carpark directs you where to go but there is no clear signage on where the hotel lifts are. I only knew this from a past visit over 2yrs ago. This is something that needs sorting out. 2nd, the entrance address for the hotel foyer is actually on the Casino entry side, so you drive around looking for it. I now know that instead of turning off onto The Darling Ave, as gps instructed, you take the slip road before The Darling Ave exit. This takes you past the residential tower and to the front of the hotel"

"While the location is convenient and the room is spacious, the overall experience lacked the quality and refinement expected from a five-star hotel. The view was nice, but I don’t think it offered good value for the price, and I wouldn’t choose to stay here again."

"The Star Residences is in a prime location! Easy access to everything the Gold Coast has to offer. Beautiful apartment, great service, and walking distance to the beach. Will definitely be back!"

"Lots of fun and the buffet was very exquisite and very diverse and in taste. The room was very nice and the kids loved the curtains. The interior was definitely something to rember (the dome)"

"Easy to get the key. There is a welcome staff to support during day time. Comfort room. Near Gold Coast exhibition, just few mins walk."

"Check in was pleasant. Offered a glass of champagne while waiting to be checked in and front desk was accommodating. Room was clean and spacious with a little balcony which had a nice view of the beach. Overall I enjoyed my stay. Only let down was the lifts. Only basing it on my experience but it seemed like you had to wait a while and sometimes when a lift did stop it was packed so you had to wait for the next one hoping that would have enough room. But other than that I would stay again as everything you needed was either at the hotel or all around you."

"Great location, walking distance to beach, restaurants, shopping centre. Apartment was a little outdated but clean. Gym was good as was the sauna. Would definitely book again."

"The hotel is an apartment-style hotel. It is located in an excellent position. There is Starbucks Coffee downstairs and there are many restaurants nearby. The only drawback is that the hotel doesn't provide slippers. Moreover, breakfast was suspended due to a typhoon. The hotel doesn't have a staff to clean every day. You should be mentally prepared before checking in."

"Location and facilities were great. Heated pool and great cafe 2min walk. The apartment itself was rundown, but equipped with the basics. One of the rooms was locked to us, but had access to the balcony. There was a horrific smell in the kitchen (wall?) we had to get room spray to help mask it. The microwave and cupboards were unusable. We would return to Ultra, however, would request a different apartment."
