Parramatta City Motel

The location is great. Close to Westfield shopping centre and train. And that’s about it for the positives. It really needs a big re-do. It’s really quite eerie….. not inviting…..let’s just say I wouldn’t stay there as a single female. We had 2 rooms booked for my husband and kids for a concert. We don’t have high expectations and are happy with a basic room. But for the price I would stay else where. The rooms stunk…. And they had only just finished cleaning. There was no toilet roll holder so the paper sat on the floor and then got wet….. not from the shower. Toilet didn’t flush. Shower temperatures couldn’t be regulated…. Hot water good but as soon as you cool a bit with the cold…. Just a fraction….. shower went completely cold. Reception staff were nice and had good service. One night here was enough.

Check in was quick and easy, however it went downhill from there. When I got to my room I realised that it wasn't the family room I had book and instead I had been placed in a twin room, yet they still charged me the family room rate. When I approached reception, she told me there were no family rooms so she put us in a twin as there were only 3 of us staying. She offered a rollaway if we wanted an extra bed. I brought up the fact that I booked and paid for the larger room. I was happy to stay in the twin as there was no other option, but i wanted to only pay the twin room rate. She told me to come back later. When I returned they hadn't heard back from management, so I had to return again the next day. I was offered $20 refund, however after fees, this was only a $16 refund. So I still paid more for the room than if I had just booked a twin. The room itself was uncomfortable and dated. The fridge door hinge was broken so it didn't shut properly. The only toilet paper provided was wet. There were cigarette holes in the bedding. I have stayed here previously and it was fine. Close to the shops and train which is handy. But after this experience, I wouldn't recommend and won't be returning.

The staff are very friendly and patient. The room was relatively clean.hasn't been updated since probably 1996. The shower is what I like to refer to as a sandblaster I personally don't like those types. The bathroom window is two pieces of frosted glass installed so as to vent which is good for the steam from the shower but does not assist with the noise that comes from the hall way, the hall way is tiled so the noise from coming and goings of other patrons interrupt your sleep. The traffic noise is there along with all the subwoofers and exhausts as they sit at the traffic lights. The pillows are very flat, the bed is hard. For an overnight brief stay it'll do.

這是我第一次來這裏，感覺一分錢一分貨。步行到帕拉馬塔的主要餐館要走一段路。床還好，路上很吵，房間和浴室比較破舊。
